5.00We had a great day trip out of Madurai to see the countryside. It was quite a long journey but loving a cup of tea as much as we do then it was completely worth it. The scenery is stunning. If you want to get back at respectable time and have an evening meal in the hotel then you have to be clear at the start what is important to you and what is not. Our guide Balau was an actual Professor and had amazing knowledge and our driver Khan was super calm and relaxed. Both delighted in telling us their views on Indian politics from Putin , China , Modi , the Economy , arranged marriages , the caste system and much much more. There views on the local sights was good too. A great trip out but a long day.Worth it but be prepared.
