This boat tour + Cajun boil combo experience is a MUST!!! Easily the highlight of our weekend vacation in New Orleans! First we learned how to put together a boil in a hands on demo and while it soaked (cooked) we took a relaxing and informative cruise through the nearby wetlands. We got to see a lot of wildlife and learn about local ecology, history, and conservation. When we arrived back at the wharf, the boil was waiting for us and we got to dig in! The whole experience was laid back, relaxing, and interesting. An assortment of drinks was a fridge away and the crew made it feel like we were there hanging out with friends. Of all the boat tours to choose from (and I've done others in the past) this is hands down the one to pick! Cruise and dinner is the way to go!!

Of all the experiences New Orleans has to offer, THIS should be at the top of your list — every single time you visit the Big Easy. There are countless things to do in New Orleans: incredible food, music, tours, cooking classes, history, nightlife… but Brian and Captain Pip have mastered something much rarer: making you feel like family from the moment you arrive. Brian welcomed us in immediately with drinks, warm hospitality, and a hands-on walkthrough of the seafood boil prep, while Captain Pip entertained us with hilarious stories and local history from growing up just miles from our dock. Together, they embody everything that makes Louisiana special — fun, funny, knowledgeable, authentic, and genuinely welcoming. If you truly want to EXPERIENCE Louisiana culture instead of just observing it, the Boat Cruise & Cajun Seafood Boil Experience is hands-down one of the best ways to spend your time and money in New Orleans. I used to live in Louisiana, and even for me, this experience felt incredibly special and authentic. It was my sister and friend’s first visit to New Orleans, and I wanted them to truly see, smell, taste, and feel what makes this place magical. This experience exceeded every expectation. We weren’t just watching — we were part of it. We chopped vegetables, washed crawfish, pulled up crab traps ourselves, learned the proper way to do a real Cajun seafood boil, and got to experience the traditions behind it all firsthand. While the seafood finished cooking, Captain Pip took us out onto the bayou, where we saw restoration efforts in the marshlands along with alligators, turtles, birds, and other wildlife. It was beautiful, educational, relaxing, and unforgettable all at once. I’ve been coming to New Orleans for half my life, and this is honestly one of the first experiences that truly checked every box: unique, authentic, immersive, fun, personal, and memorable in all the best ways. And the best part? It’s available year-round. Without question, this is something I’ll do every single time I’m back in New Orleans.
