What To Expect
The visit and tasting at Quinta da Portela de Baixo consists of a visit to the Winery, Wine Cellar Museum, and a tasting of 6 wines produced on the farm (sparkling wine, DOC Douro white and red and three Port wines) harmonized with regional products (bôla, olive oil, cheese and jam) and even with the option of a tour through the two farms.

5.00The wine tasting at the Quinta da Portela de Baixo Winery in Lamego – Douro was wonderful! Our host Elizabeth gave us a tour of their museum and the grounds before our tasting. The tasting was lovely. We had an exquisite view, the wines are excellent, and Elizabeth is just the best!

5.00Absolutely fantastic wine tasting with our guide Kristina. Wonderfully beautiful environment and good wines. Can warmly recommend. We had to take our time and got good tapas paired with the wines. The view was amazing. We were all alone there which made the whole experience very exclusive. We stayed at the vineyard which is ten minutes walking distance away which made it all very accessible and good.

5.00It was an incredible experience. Our desk was on the balcony outside with a beautiful view. The tasting includes aperitives such as cheeses from the region, jam, jelly, chestnut, etc. The women who served us were super attentive. The museum is pretty legal too.
