From the very start, dealing with Monu was really easy. His English is excellent, he’s really laid back and nothing is too much trouble. We were due to do the evening tour and then the tuk tuk tour the day after but because of a delayed flight from Delhi and us feeling tired, Monu was very happy to postpone the evening tour until the next day. We had a fantastic day and evening with him, which included a short rest to recover from the heat and the amount of sightseeing. We saw so much and were able to fully understand the history and practice of Hinduism as well as visiting the Buddhist holy site at Sarnath. The Ganges were flooded while we were there but Monu arranged for us to watch the evening Aarti from a hotel rooftop, which was spectacular. We also loved meeting his parents and having a Chai masala tea with them. All in all, a great time in Varanasi due to Monu’s service and well worth the money. We would highly recommend Monu to anyone visiting Varanasi and wanting to get a full understanding and experience of the wonderful place it is.
