What To Expect
In addition to being the Soviet theme park of the unrecognized Transnistria, Tiraspol is also home to Aquatir, one of the largest sturgeon breeding facility in Europe. This place has a tradition about black caviar, as Moldova is located in the Black Sea region, waters of which historically harboured the sturgeon. During the tour you will learn intriguing facts about sturgeon and the special technology used for fish farming. The most distinctive feature of their black caviar is the fact that the farm uses only salt and no other preservatives. This way they can keep the unique and natural taste of the caviar. The tour will end up with a professional caviar and champagne tasting, which will delight all of your senses.

5.00Extraordinary. A visit like you won’t make anywhere else. Thousands of sturgeon weighing 3 to 120 kg, including an albino whose caviar price can rise to $40,000 per kilo, given its rarity. Ask for your turn to take you downtown to the Aquatir shop to buy caviar at only 330 € per kg.

Complain for excursion

1.00I want to make a complain, not a review. The excursion did not take place because was cancelled by the organizer. Mr. Andrei Rusu send me email that the excursion was moved from 3pm to 4 pm. After that he send me another email with a very short notice, telling me that the guide, Viorika, had a car accident and the excursion was cancelled. I was at the fish farm, and I was let down. I told him he should have a plan B if accidents happen. He didn’t care about anything, he didn’t even answer my emails. At the farm, I found out that there is no such an excursion, for caviar and wine testing. It was a misleading add from the organizer. I planed this trip weeks before. I came all the way from Canada, to find out in the farm that all is cancelled. I want a full reimburse of the excursion and penalties money from the fact that my vacation was ruined. I let up yo you to determine how much the penalty is. I can send you all the emails I had with Andrei Rusu. All the disaster of my vacation is because of him Best, Radu Stelea
