We start the journey by picking you up at your accomodation. After a 40-minute drive through worlds longest and deepest underwater tunnel and scenic views of Jørpeland, we'll arrive at the trailhead. Here, your guide will share insights about the trail and expected conditions.
After approximately 2 hours of hiking we will reach the majestic Preikestolen / Pulpit Rock cliffside 604 meters (1981 feet) above the sea. Eat your lunch with the majestic view of Lysefjorden all around you!

5.00Our guide Rasmussen was excellent and knowledgeable. Make no mistake, this hike is challenging. Appropriate footwear and clothing are a must as even on a mild day it is very cold at the Rock. Your knees and ankles will absolutely be tested. If you do decide to do it then this is the company to do it with!

5.00Kenny was a SUPER-DUPER tour guide! He brought us up to Preikestolen on a different way through the woods. I personally really appreciated it, because this way was way less crowded. He showed us every iconic, scenic spot, and also made very good photos of us if we asked him. What I appreciated particularly is that he always there where he had to be. He leaded the group on the front sometimes, but also went back to the last person and provided support. When I was a bit slower downhill because of my painful toenail, he always waited for me with the group ahead. A very supportive, very thoughtful and very experienced tour guide! My friends and I would go to any other hike with him. 🙌

4.00Directions for pick-up need to be clearer. Description of car should be made known. Driver doesn’t arrive at pickup until 5-10 minutes before meeting time. This was not made clear for me. Otherwise the hike was spectacular. Expect steep rocks for the path most of the time! If the forecast looks better later in the week, check for availability in changing the date of your hike. I was able to do this for a small fee. What a gorgeous day we had! Rain would have made the day much harder! Our guide was very knowledgable and patient. Many photos were taken and shared with the group.

5.00This was the most amazing tour. While you can certainly hike Preikestolen on your own I would highly recommend booking this guided tour. Teodore was not only knowledged but he guided us on a hiking trail "off the beaten path" which was not crowded and we got the full experience.

5.00Had a great day hiking to Preikestolen with Ivan. He was very friendly, easy going and knowledgeable about the amazing hiking route. During the hike, Ivan made sure everyone was safe and no one was left behind. We took plenty of breaks to admire the incredible views on a beautiful sunny day. Would highly recommend!

5.00The hike to Preikestolen was definitely challenging, but absolutely worth it for the incredible view at the top. Pictures truly do not do it justice. Our guide was so kind, patient, and encouraging throughout the entire hike, which made the experience even better. It ended up being just me and another solo female traveler, and it made for such a peaceful and memorable day. Tired legs, amazing views, unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

2.00I would not recommend this guided hike. Our group was a good small size (8 people), and our guide showed us a lesser known path through the woods for some of the journey up, which was good. Otherwise, being on a guided hike added no value to the experience, and meant it felt very rushed. Our guide was a seasonal worker, not local as advertised, and was quite rude when we were a few minutes late at the start, since the pickup was not as described and we were confused. He did not interact much with the group or tell us anything about the geography, history, etc. He hiked ahead and acted mostly as a timekeeper, because the hike was very rushed. We had some people in our group who had to get back quite early for a cruise ship. It was reasonable that they had to return on time to get back on board, but we felt that the tour provider should offer separate hikes for those with this tight time pressure. A couple needed to drop out from our group after 30 mins because they couldn't keep up, and our guide had not noticed how much they were struggling until we had to ask for them to take a pause. My friend and I found the hiking pace fine but would have liked more opportunities to enjoy the view. We wanted more than 25 minutes at the top to eat lunch, take photos and enjoy, so our guide went on ahead with the others and we had to rush down to catch up with the group again. Since the hike had to leave behind 50% of its group, it did not feel well paced. There is a regular, direct bus from Stavanger to the starting car park, and the path is very obvious, easy and popular - so you do not need a guide, even if travelling solo. Would have been a better experience to take it at our own pace, although the other hikers in our group were nice. The hike to Preikestolen and the view at the top are incredible and well worth doing.
