  My East Java Adventure: Tumpak Sewu, Mount Bromo & Mount Ijen My trip to East Java was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Over the course of a few days, I had the opportunity to explore three of Indonesia’s most breathtaking natural wonders: Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, Mount Bromo, and Mount Ijen. Each destination offered a unique adventure, tested my physical limits, and rewarded me with spectacular views. Our journey began at Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, often described as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Indonesia. Reaching the base was challenging, as we had to descend steep and slippery trails while crossing streams. Despite the difficulty, the sight of the towering waterfall cascading from all directions was breathtaking. Standing at the bottom, surrounded by mist and lush greenery, felt like stepping into another world. It was physically demanding, but every step was worth the effort. The next stop was Mount Bromo. We woke up before dawn and travelled by jeep to the sunrise viewpoint. Although it was cold and dark, the moment the sun rose above the mountains made every second worthwhile. Watching the golden light illuminate the volcanic landscape was simply magical. Walking across the sea of volcanic sand and climbing the stairs to the crater gave me an even greater appreciation for the raw power and beauty of nature. The highlight of the trip was the midnight hike to Mount Ijen. We started trekking in the early hours of the morning to witness the famous blue flames before sunrise. The hike was tiring, especially with the steep incline, but reaching the crater and seeing the rare blue fire was an incredible experience. As dawn broke, the turquoise acidic crater lake came into view, creating one of the most stunning landscapes I have ever seen. I also gained a deeper respect for the sulfur miners who work under such harsh conditions every day. This journey taught me the value of perseverance, teamwork, and appreciating nature’s beauty. Although the hikes were physically exhausting, the memories and experiences made every challenge worthwhile. Exploring Tumpak Sewu, Mount Bromo, and Mount Ijen has become one of the greatest adventures of my life, and I hope to return to Indonesia to discover even more of its natural wonders in the future.

  H was an absolute tur guide the whole 4 days we spent together for east java tour was memorable because of his work dedication on giving us the best service possible and spending time with someone like him is a lucky thing on our trip. From the magical mt bromo, the amazing waterfalls, and we ended up with the magnificent mt ijen its just something that only mother nature can do and makes you always want to comeback and see this things. Even though the name of this company is Cheapbromo but it didn’t mean that the service and things they provide is cheap, it was the best tour company you can ever found a lil bit more expensive than the others in exchange for a memorable and stress free trip that we can trust especially since all these destinations are famous in east java and we can’t control how many people that goes there so having a really good tour operator that trains their guides to explain, serve and able to get along with your group is a key to really nice and wonderful trip (We go with 8 people in the tour and H manage to get along with every single of us. That proves how amazing person he is) To everyone that wants to explore east java, we really recommend you guys to use them, and if you’re lucky you can go with H and feel how easy and super fun your trip gonna be. P.S: Shoutout to Hamza that helped us to customize our trip, Agus the driver, All local guides we met along the way.

  I had the privilege of visiting a lot of my bucket list destinations and it couldn't have been better with Cheap Bromo & especially with Rizky. Rizky & the driver brought us around to Malang, Tumpak Sewu, Bromo & Ijen with absolutely no fuss or frills. He planned everything very well to ensure that the entire thing was absolutely smooth & this is an mportant factor too considering that we had to get up early during most of the trip. We had the best time there & once again I highly recommend Rizky & the Cheap Bromo team!

  me and my parter did the tour with barooni he made our time on out tour even better. it was so worth the money we did the 3 day 2 night private tour. despite being no sunrise on mount bromo, barooni made the day as enjoyable as he could we both noticed how hard he was trying to make out experience best as possible.

  Booked the tour through Klook. Itinerary looked tight on paper, but was surprisingly well-paced. Our guide (Bara) and driver took good care of us over the course of the 4 days. They were flexible to accommodate our needs and preferences, all without compromising the quality of the tour. The tag team arrangement with local guides at Tumpak Sewu and Ijen made for a seamless experience too. Every attraction featured naturally majestic landscapes, so the weather woes we encountered at Mt Bromo did not spoil our overall experience. Although the fog was so dense the day we visited that none of the viewing points could offer a clear look, it was still nice that the team had alternative spots to suggest. Before the trip, we also forewarned about the recommended attire for the waterfall. We were drenched by the end, true enough, but were able to get of change of clothes from our luggages, thanks to the way the itinerary was structured. Ijen was a personal highlight of the 3. The views at the apex were spectacular no matter where you stood. A well-deserved reward after a (subjectively) challenging hike!

  A truly unforgettable experience that we will always carry in our hearts. We were fortunate to admire extraordinary landscapes: majestic volcanoes, spectacular waterfalls, and breathtaking sunrises that alone are worth the trip. What made everything even more special was Iksan, our young guide, who was very knowledgeable, passionate, and enthusiastic, along with our driver Kim. From the very first moment, he made us feel not like mere tourists, but part of his family. Thanks to his availability and attention, we were able to experience Indonesia authentically and without worries. He helped us with every practical aspect of the trip, from currency exchange to understanding the problem we had with the Internet, always advising us and offering the best solutions. He introduced us to and let us taste delicious traditional dishes and passionately shared traditions, customs, and aspects of Indonesian culture that we would have hardly known on our own. On the first day, we went to see a small but unique and colorful village as the first stop of our long journey to make the long trip easier. On the second day, after visiting a village at the foot of the highest volcano on the island, which is still active, and having the fortune to see it erupt, an emotion that is hard to replicate. Later, we visited the waterfalls, a surreal place full of primordial energy. On the third day, we experienced an unforgettable moment; we saw the sunrise on Mount Bromo and the surrounding volcanoes, followed by a trek to the crater of Bromo and encounters with little monkeys. We traveled by jeep, and it felt like being in an adventurous book. On the fourth day, we were fortunate to observe the blue fire, a real spectacle. The day started early, a trek shrouded in darkness to reach the top of the crater, a wonderful lake, and to watch the sunrise that slowly warmed us. Ikhsan, known as Sun. There could not be a more fitting nickname for such a sunny and warm person who makes you feel comfortable and secure even at the top of the most remote crater. We recommend this experience to anyone who wants to authentically and friendly experience this part of the world rich in energy!
