Our honeymoon safari in Tanzania was highlighted by a veteran and incredibly knowledgeable guide that is passionate about his craft in making the best possible experience while travelling with Duma Explorer across National parks. Msangi crafted our experience to exactly how we wanted it, taking careful attention to spotting the animals we wanted to see, educating us on the entire ecosystem, and bringing to light significant parts of the national parks that would typically be overlooked. Every day was filled with adventure, good conversation and most importantly trust that the decisions he was making were for the best of our experience. If you’re booking a trip - with Duma explorer, ask for Msangi! For the booking of the trip itself - Stacey at Duma was easy to work with, well informed, quick to respond and carefully tailors your experience to however you explain what you want to her (and within budget!). Every little detail of the 2 week trip was accounted for in the planning, and comes in an easy to read e-brochure. All you need to do is show up and enjoy the experience! When tinkering around with costs - Stacey was able to easily pivot with different dates and accommodations, also explaining the details about the change in every accommodation and experience. I cannot emphasize enough that our honeymoon wouldn’t have been as special without Duma Explorer. Thank you Stacey and Msangi for helping make this memory together.

This trip was amazing, from beginning to end. We travelled as a family through Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Seregengti and finally Zanzibar. Seeing the animals and birds in the wild was thrilling - including a very close encounter with an elephant family herd, the wildebeest migration, and zebras, giraffes and hippos galore. And ostriches!! Our guide Justin made all the difference. He is knowledgeable about all the wildlife, and especially the birds!! He is patient, kind and handled our group of 7 with ease...we felt like he was part of our family by the end of the trip. It was obvious that he wanted to make sure we had the best experience we could, by going above and beyond to make sure we saw the "big five"...and we did. If you go on this tour (Northern Tanzania) ask for Justin. He is simply the best.

I surprised my wife with a safari for our wedding anniversary. Friends of ours recommended Duma Explorer/Alika Africa based on their safari experience, and I was extremely pleased with their coordination of our whole trip. We stayed in some of the most exclusive camps with excellent staff, service, and food. All the arrangements were top notch! Justin, our guide picked us up from the airport and we spent 11 days in his calm, professional hands and felt completely safe and secure on some of the most wet and wild roads I had ever experienced! More than just navigating the rough terrain with ease, Justin was clearly in his element showing us all the wildlife that beautiful Tanzania had to offer. We saw the "Big Five" most iconic wildlife species - lion, leopard, elephant, Cape buffalo and the elusive black rhinoceros. And we also experienced being part of the herd with the Wildebeest and zebra! Justin made sure that we saw it all. Thanks to Justin and Duma/Alika Africa, it was very exciting and a once in a lifetime adventure that I will never forget.

We decided to go on safari for our honeymoon and didn’t really know what to expect. Based on the positive reviews I decided to go with Duma Explorer and I am so glad I did. Our trip was absolutely perfect and a truly once in a lifetime experience. Communicating beforehand was smooth and simple. Our guide, Ebenezer, was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and capable. He could confidently answer every question we asked and knew how to safely navigate all of the parks we visited. We enjoyed getting to know him on a personal level as well. The accommodations they booked for us were beautiful with delicious food and amazing service. We had the best time and highly recommend this tour company!

We had the most amazing trip with Alika Africa and Duma Explorers! Everything ran so smoothly with Stacy’s planning and our guide Justin honestly made the whole experience unforgettable. He was super fun, easy to be around, and taught us so much about the animals and Tanzania in general. Justin always made sure we were in the perfect spot to see the wildlife — we got incredible views and photos every single day. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable, and made it a once in a lifetime experience! This trip totally exceeded our expectations. If you’re thinking about a safari in Tanzania, definitely ask for Justin, he’s the best!

Ok people listen up. This company has the best guide in Africa and he's name is Justin. Make sure you ask for him because we got to see some “ok” ones. He is so professional and took care of us the whole time. We got to see everything we wanted (everything). Justin taught us so many new things and had an answer for every question. On the intellectual aspect he was exactly what we needed. Someone with our mindset , young , family man, and ambitious. He always surprised us and the moment we thought we've seen it all he found us another crazy experience. Make sure you ask for this guy if you want to guarantee your safari experience will be successful and fun. Thank you Justin! Overall the experience was amazing, will definitely use this company again when I come back. Highly recommend!

Stacy created a spectacular personalized itinerary for my husband and me. She listened closely to our requests and created an epic trip with her deep knowledge of Tanzania. Working with our personalized tour guide, Ebenezer took our trip to an entirely new level, making our adventure that more special. His patience, knowledge, genuinely kind nature relaxed and made us feel safe throughout our journey. We truly made a friend for life. The Tanzanian culture, people, cuisine, nature, and animals captured our hearts. This was an experience of a lifetime, we will never forget. Thank you to all the kind and beautiful people we met along the way, especially Ebenezer, Stacy, Milcah!!!! Katherine and Christopher Hill
