Nara National Museum
The Nara National Museum Nara Kokuritsu Hakubutsukan), located in Nara Park, is an art museum which primarily displays Japanese Buddhist art. Established in 1889, the museum retains its original building and is joined by a new wing that is connected to the original building by an underground passage. Both wings display the museum's permanent collection, which includes Buddhist statues, paintings, scrolls and ceremonial objects mainly from Japan. The new wing also houses temporary exhibitions, including an annual exhibition every autumn of treasures from Todaiji Temple. A ticket to the museum gives access to both wings, and English explanations are available throughout the museum.

Pleasant driver with great patience and high responsiveness. He customized our route quickly and to our needs and took us to Osaka castle, the bamboo forest, Dotombori shopping area and more. It was a very very rainy day and having a car was well worth it.

Other guide/transport cancelled on me the night before and Japan Travels worked with me to get something scheduled and executed very late the night before. They were quick to respond and very helpful. Sunny was our driver from Kyoto to Osaka. He was very nice and a good driver. Had a really fun stop at Nara park, temple, and the osaka castle before dropping us off in Osaka.

It was a wonderful car tour with Ghumman. He was very polite and took us where we wanted to go and skipped some of the touristy sites that we had already seen. (However, It was difficult to get a response from the tour company thru the messages section of Viator. But finally we got a confirmation of meet up time and place thru What’s app)

Talha was a fantastic private driver! His car was clean and comfortable. He expertly navigated my family (including two children) around the sites of Nara and Kyoto. He offered suggestions and helped to maximize our efficiency. We kept him late and his overtime fee was very reasonable. Lastly, he delivered my AirPods back to me the next day for a modest tip. I highly recommend him and would employ him again next time.

Our family of 6 adults (5 females) experienced a great car tour with guide Talha. He took us to several memorable historical sites providing details of their age and history. Each site had many interesting shops and he was very patient during the shopping adventures. Talha introduced a great restaurant that all enjoyed. Despite running beyond the scheduled tour time, Talha generously added a final stop in Gion for photos that was greatly appreciated. To simplify the touring process and minimize walking, a visit to each historical site door to door, a car tour is definitely the answer. We thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend Talha’s car tour and plan on using his services for our future vacations. RayC
