Prepare yourself for an adventure that balances the thrill of sailing Howe Sound's legendary winds with the breathtaking views of the Coastal and Tantalus mountain ranges.
We will depart from the docks in Squamish (about 40 minutes north of Vancouver on the highway to Whistler) and raise the sails as we pass beneath the legendary Stawamus Chief granite monolith and Shannon Falls.
Regardless of expertise or ability, you will learn about sailing and experience unbounded excitement as the wind fills our sails and accelerates our 40' sailboat across the waters of Canada's southernmost fjord. Take a turn at the helm or grind a winch to trim sails - the more involved you become, the more fun you will have.
We will explore the northern section of the Howe Sound fjord and promise many photo opportunities that will stand amongst the highlights of your trip.
With a little luck, we may even sight a pod of dolphins or Orcas!

5.00We did this sail for my bachelorette, and it was one of the highlights of the weekend! Even as locals, it gave us a whole new appreciation for Howe Sound. We had plenty of wind, sunshine, incredible views, and an exciting sail that felt adventurous while still being completely safe. We brought our own snacks, enjoyed some great drinks, and loved that anyone who wanted to could jump in and help with the sailing. Ollie and Sid were hilarious, shared lots of interesting facts about the area, and made the whole experience so much fun. Huge thanks to Dave for organizing everything—we'd recommend this to anyone, whether you're visiting Squamish or have lived here forever!

5.00What a wonderful afternoon with the crew. Our first private sailing tour was amazing. The boat was perfect for us (2) and the crew(3), although it can hold much more. We loved the personal attention, learning the ins and outs of sailing, and the laughter we enjoyed all together.

5.00Sailing on Howe Sound with David and Sally is an amazing way to take in the beauty of Squamish. David has an encyclopedic knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area, does a great job getting everyone involved in sailing the ship and is ridiculously charming. Smiles and laughter all around. Highly recommend!

5.00The last time we sailed was in Cabo, and after sailing in Squamish, I’m not even sure that counted as real sailing anymore. In Squamish, we truly experienced what sailing without using the motor actually means — just the wind, the water, and the boat. It was an absolutely fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime experience that exceeded all our expectations. Of course, none of it would have been possible without David and Kirstie — our amazing crew. Thank you for making this adventure so unforgettable! What made it even more special was the opportunity to learn more about sailing, sailboat navigation, and how everything works out on the water. We’re already looking forward to coming back and doing it again this summer!
