At the Small Fortress of Terezín, you will take part in a guided walk led by a local guide in the language of your choice. Explore the former concentration camp site and its barracks while learning how this once-garrison town was transformed into a camp.

What To Expect
Rudolfinum
Meet your guide in front of the main entrance stairs to Rudolfinum building, Alšovo nábř. 12, 110 00 Josefov. The guide will be holding a blue and white umbrella. From here you will take a minibus to Terezín, which will take approximately 1 hour.
Terezin Memorial
The minibus will take you to Terezín. Terezin is located approximately ninety miles north of Prague and just south of Litomerice. The town was originally built in 1780 by Emperor Joseph II of Austria and named after his mother, Empress Maria Theresa.

One of our family members spent time at Terazin (before being transported to an extermination camp) and the guide helped us piece together how she likely arrived at Terazin, and what her experience there was like. She really went above and beyond.

4.00We did not have a lot of time but liked that this tour provided a half-day afternoon option. Our guide Zora was exceptional and knowledgable, bringing the history to life. The only downside is some of the facilities were closed because it was Saturday (Sabath) and the museum closed at 5pm so we only had 20 minutes to look through it...

5.00Perfect tour. We got to go through the tunnels when the small fortress was built in Terezin. This is something we would not have been able to do without a tour guide. Our tour guide at the Terezin small fortress was fantastic. A wealth of information and very passionate about what she does.
