What To Expect
Centro Storico Ferrara
Submerged in the green Valley of the Po river, Ferrara has been declared a Unesco World Heritage due to its still intact old town! The famous Este family governed here for three centuries and gave the city the appearance it has today: a uniquely planned city, which harmoniously fuses the Mediaeval and Renaissance styles and that can represent Europe's first modern city.
Castello Estense
A stop at the Estense Castle is therefore mandatory: a fortress built to defend the Dukes from public revolts and that stands still surrounded by its moat at the centre of the city.
