The buggy driver must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license. Travelers seated in the buggy’s passenger seat must be at least 6 years old.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
What To Expect
You will drive your own off-road buggy, following a professional local guide/instructor on a circular route through the Meteora UNESCO Global Geopark. This is a guided self-drive experience: you drive, the guide leads at a safe pace. After arriving at our base, you receive a safety briefing and driving instructions, and we provide all protective equipment. The route quickly leaves paved roads and follows dirt tracks, forest roads and rocky paths. Along the way, you make frequent stops at scenic points and places of interest. The guide explains the landscape, geology and hidden monastic sites, and there is time for photos and short walks. Depending on conditions, the route may include small creek or river crossings, historic stone features and panoramic viewpoints. The tour finishes by looping back to the starting point. The focus is on scenery, exploration and safe off-road driving, not speed, making it suitable for beginners.

5.00Fun and fast. Our guide was patient with my teen son who has depth sensory issues. There was some hiking that took us longer because of his eye sight. He was patient and allowed us time to walk up and down. I had a blast driving. You get dusty but it was worth it. I highly recommend.

5.00This was absolutely the most amazing tour! We started out in the city and drove through a small town with incredibly narrow streets, which was a really cool experience right from the start. The ride itself is not tame at all. We drove through some rough off-road terrain, making the entire trip just as thrilling and fun as it was scenic. We stopped plenty of times to take pictures of the breathtaking views. Our guide was fantastic, incredibly nice and completely let us control the pace. She gave us all the time we needed to capture photos or move on whenever we were ready. This tour gets you deep into the woods and offers an experience you won't get any other way. Would totally recommend it to anyone visiting Meteora!

5.00Had a great experience with my guide, George! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared many interesting insights about the landscapes and the history of the hermit caves along the way. He also set a comfortable pace throughout the tour, making it feel both enjoyable and safe. The tour covers a significant distance and reaches relatively high altitudes, so I would recommend bringing a windbreaker even during the summer months
