  • Amazing 8-Day Ring Road Tour with Jakub

    R2626ZVmariaz,Jul 1, 2026

    - Review from Tripadvisor

    5.00

We had an incredible experience on the 8-day Ring Road tour! My family & I don’t like planning so we opted to do a guided tour around Iceland. The itinerary covered all of the major sights while also including some small stops that made the trip feel even more special. We came away feeling like we had truly experienced the best of Iceland. The included activities (Ice Cave, Whale Watching) were already amazing but with the addition of the optional activities (Horseback Riding, Amphibian Boat Tour, VOK Baths, Lava Cave) we truly felt like we had a chance to experience Iceland from every POV. Our tour guide, Jakub, made the trip unforgettable. He was kind, considerate, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely personable. He shared fascinating information about Iceland’s history, geology, and culture throughout the journey, while also making sure everyone was comfortable. He struck the perfect balance between being organized and keeping the atmosphere relaxed and fun. We had a group of 14 people, which turned out to be the perfect size. It was small enough to feel private and personal, and we had plenty of opportunities to get to know the other travelers. This tour exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Iceland’s breathtaking landscapes. Thank you to Jakub for making an already amazing trip even more memorable!

  • Beautiful Iceland

This was my second visit to Iceland. First in September 2015 & we drove western & southern areas only. Much busier & populated now, especially Reykjavík. This time in a small group of 18 wonderful & fun people. New friends. Our guide for 6 days, Reykjavík to Bogarmmes, was Johann. Superb guide. Funny, informative, polite & more. 5* +. This was a great ring road tour. Some places it was fun to remember & enjoyed new ones in northern & eastern areas. Saw tourist spots & great out of the way ones. Country is beyond beautiful. I hope they will preserve it. Last 2 short days on Snæfellsnes peninsula with Thales. He was also great & fun. ***** Wanted to add more photos but reached the limit! Recommend Troll. Is tours 👍👍

Stunning 8 day ring road tour with our wonderful guide John. Fantastic itinerary, comfortable bus and a great crowd on the tour but John made this trip. Though not a native islander I challenge you to find a more knowledgable and passionate guide, really bought the tour to life and added so much depth to what we could see with our eyes. His energy and sense of humor was infectious, he kept the group on task and was always making sure our dietary preferences were accommodated for wherever we stopped to eat. I thought it was great how he’d take people off to see things if they weren’t doing an excursion which I’m sure he didn’t have to. The tour was just the right length and you can well and truly say “I’ve done Iceland” after this tour! Unforgettable experience.

Iceland has some of the best scenery in the world and the 8 day tour is the perfect way to see so much of it without any of the hassle of booking hotels/transport/parking etc. John, our guide gave us an insight to this incredible land through his eyes and his passion for the landscape, people and places shone through. With John's humour and gentle encouragement to get all of us on the bus talking to each other, with no pressure, meant that by the end it was hard to say goodbye!

I'm not sure that I can do this tour justice with a short review. Our tour guide, John, picked us up in Rekyavik and took us on the most magical tour, visiting fault lines, geysers, waterfalls, glaciers, ice caves, deserts (yes, really), diamond beaches, icebergs, whales and - most importantly - Trolls! John's energy and knowledge was amazing as he took you into the Iceland that lives in his heart, with lots of additional stops and stories that brought this landscape to life. Like some others, we were worried about being trapped on a small bus with people we didn't know but John created a warm and friendly environment that drew everyone in and really added to the experience.

Our trip started off oddly, with our itinerary shifted around (Day 1 followed by Day 7 & 8 before continuing with Day 2, etc). Our Guide Jon Hilmarsson did an excellent job adapting the tour and making it all go smoothly. This was my second time doing the 8-day tour. Between the extras added by Jon and the seasonal differences (my last tour was in October), the trip gave me an opportunity to experience a whole other - and much appreciated - side of Iceland. A great company and an excellent tour!
