Itinerary:
The Gur-Emir Mausoleum is the burial place of Tamerlane and his descendants. You will hear related facts and legends.
Registan Square is a visiting card of Samarkand. I will tell you about the magnificent mosques and madrasahs located in it.
Bibi-Khanum Cathedral Mosque - You will admire its sky-blue dome and arch the size of the Milky Way.
Hazrat Khizr Mosque was reconstructed in the 19th century, replacing the one destroyed in the 13th century. The original mosque on this site dates back to the 8th century.
The memorial complex Shakhi-Zinda is one of the mysterious architectural monuments of Samarkand. It is believed that this is where the grave of Kusam ibn Abbas, an associate of the Prophet Muhammad himself, is located.

What To Expect
Gur Emir Mausoleum
Amir Timur and his beloved grandchildren Muhammad Sultan, Ulugbek and other family members are buried here. I will tell you about the architectural solutions of this place, about the affairs and fate of Timur and about the interior decoration of the tomb - I’m sure you will be captivated by the “starry sky”! We will see from inside!
Registan
In the 15th-17th centuries it was the educational and spiritual center of the city. You will examine in detail the madrassas located on it: Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tallyakari. And I will share the features of the brilliant architecture of the Timurid era. You will imagine the times when these buildings served as religious schools and scientific centers, “read” the plots of the facades and simply enjoy the beauty of the complex. We will see from outside!

5.00This was an insightful Walk through Samarkand. Sam was a great teacher with thourough historic background . He hold the background on the sides very ‚vivid‘ … even thoughit was quite hot, the walking style is not exhausting … to the contra you also pick up some of today‘s Samsrkand Charme.

5.00The tour was very pleasant and exciting. Our guide shared interesting facts about culture and attractions. I thought it was great that a lot was shared, but always with small breaks in between. Additionally, the information was conveyed clearly and not overloaded with too many complicated details, making it easy to follow. Our guide did an excellent job on the tour. I would recommend it to everyone.

5.00I joined a group walking tour expecting to be part of a larger group, but surprisingly I ended up being the only participant. Instead of cancelling the tour, the company still honoured the booking and provided me with a private one-on-one experience, which I truly appreciated. My guide, Pravina, was absolutely wonderful. She is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and culture of the city. You can tell she is a teacher at heart from the way she explains things clearly and makes every story come alive. Beyond her expertise, she was warm, hospitable, and made me feel very welcome throughout the tour. What could have been a cancelled booking turned into one of the highlights of my trip. Thank you to the company for going above and beyond, and a special thank you to Pravina for her generosity, professionalism, and genuine care. 5.00Learnt a lot from the tour led by Fayoziddin, who gave us a great introduction to Samarkand and patiently answered all our questions about history and contemporary life. Tour was also at a comfortable pace, ending just in time for lunch. Left with a better understanding of Samarkand and Uzbekistan.
