This is a tour that focus' on history of Christianity in Jordan, you will visit the Baptism site of Jesus Christ, Madaba, Mt Nebo before relaxing and floating in the salty waters of the Dead Sea.
After you will be transferred to Petra where you will be dropped off, so you can continue your trip by yourself the next day.

What To Expect
Madaba
Your Driver will pick you up from the hotel at 8:00 and transfer you to Madaba . Best known for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, Madaba is home to the famous 6th century Mosaic Map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. With two million pieces of vividly coloured local stone, it depicts hills and valleys, villages and towns as far as the Nile Delta. The Madaba Mosaic Map covers the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, which is located northwest of the city centre. The church was built in 1896 AD, over the remains of a much earlier 6th century Byzantine church. The mosaic panel enclosing the Map was originally around 15.6 X 6m, 94 sq.m., only about a quarter of which is preserved.
Mount Nebo
You will then proceed to Mount Nebo where Moses is said to have stood and looked out to the Promised Land. On a clear day you can look out over the Dead Sea and all the way to Jerusalem.

Jordan is a fascinating and place to visit it’s such a shame so many people cannot access due to the current political situation .. thank you to our guide in Petra .. we want to read your book … this was a trip of a lifetime which we will not forget

5.00I had a very nice short visit to Jordan everything very well organized by Jordan Horizon and my driver Mr. Fad who did a great job. After we left Amman we visited an old church, mount Nebo and the dead sea shore before arriving at my hotel in Petra, called Old Village. Very nice place with great views to Petra. The next morning the highlight of the trip: visit amazing Petra! A great experience with guide Mahmoud who explained everything about the history and astronomical background of the site. During my visit I always felt safe and well looked after my Mr. Fad. Many thanks!
