Pearl Harbor Historic Sites Visitor Center
At the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center you can explore various exhibits that provide historical context about the events leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. View a 23-minute documentary film that provides an overview of the attack, its impact, and the significance of the USS Arizona Memorial. After the introductory exhibits and film you will board a U.S. Navy-operated boat for a short ride to the USS Arizona Memorial. The 10-minute ride across the harbor is calm and offers views of the surrounding military installations
USS Arizona Memorial
The USS Arizona Memorial is a white, open-air structure that spans the remains of the sunken battleship. It's a solemn and quiet place, designed to allow visitors to reflect on the sacrifices made by the sailors and Marines who were lost during the attack. Viewing the Wreckage: Inside the memorial you can look down into the water to see parts of the sunken battleship. The ship's outline is visible just below the surface, and oil droplets, often referred to as "The Tears of the Arizona," can still be seen rising to the surface. Remembrance Wall: At the far end of the memorial is a wall inscribed with the names of the 1,177 crew members who lost their lives aboard the USS Arizona. This wall serves as a powerful reminder of the human cost of war.

Cousin Maya was a highly knowledgeable & entertaining driver and tour guide. He taught us about Oahu and the Hawaiian vocabulary & alphabet. But when it came to the Pearl Harbor Tour, he was much more solemn in respect for those killed and ultimately buried with the USS Arizona and other destroyers in the Harbor that dramatic day in December 1941, as he instructed us to be as well. It was well worth doing this tour with Cousin Maya.

Unorganized for sure. I took all the right steps to get this trip booked along with making sure I had an appropriate pick up location since my hotel said it wasnt. My lady and I were booked tour at 0700 and at almost 10p we get asked if we can change to a later time because it would be better. We walked to another hotel for this tour got a call that the driver was running late but to lie to me and show later than you tell me is bs. Then someone calls him on the phone while we are on the bus and he had the audacity to announce over the open mic with everyone on the bus oh Torrie causing trouble, I already picked them up like he said he sent to someone in the text. Them he makes a couple other jokes to gain laughs from the others but the crap wasnt funny to me or my lady in anyway. Talk about the lack of professionalism. There definitely needs to be some type of reimbursement as I definitely will share my experience I hate being lied to and I had lack of professionalism

It was a sobering reminder of the cost of military lives that were lost during this horrific attack. The information in the museums relayed details of the attack that I was unaware of. Anyone who has an opportunity to visit the site should do so. An integral part of American history that we should never forget.

We had a great experience. And much of the credit goes to our driver.- Will. He did a really great job with the history relating to the attack on pearl harbor on December 7th 1941. His instructions on our visit to the Missouri Battleship were right on the money.
