This is the real local guide trekking tour, authentic experience led by a local Black Hmong guide who was born and raised in the mountains of Sapa. The journey includes an overnight stay with my own family, offering guests a rare opportunity to live, eat, and connect with local people in a genuine way.
During the trek, guests travel through remote villages, rice terraces, bamboo forests, and mountain trails that are far from mass tourism routes. Along the way, you will learn about daily life, farming traditions, local customs, and the challenges of living in the highlands.
Sharing home-cooked meals, listening to local stories, and spending the night in a family homestay create meaningful cultural exchanges that cannot be experienced on standard tours. This experience is designed for travelers who value authenticity, human connection, and a deeper understanding of local culture rather than just sightseeing.

We were a group of 10 participants, all French and French, with the exception of a couple of Canadians. Everyone got along very well: the first day guided by Lala through the mountain trails in beautiful landscapes. Housed at his homestay. Delicious dinner then very fun games. The next day it was Su her husband who took us to see the rice terraces. He and Lala are great. And I have a memorable memory of this trek. I highly recommend.

Our day trekking tour with LaLa was one of my favorite experiences I’ve done in Vietnam! She truly makes the experience incredible with a high level of English, so we were able to ask lots of questions about life/culture in the mountains of Northern Vietnam. We were a group of 3 and joined 2 others, which was the perfect size to get an intimate experience. We had some cloudy weather, but LaLa did an incredible job of keeping us entertained and informed about what we would be seeing if it was more clear. We wished we had booked a night or two to stay at her Homestay, so we would love to return someday!

Me and my sister went on the 2 day trekking with Lala and her husband and had an amazing time! Even though the weather wasn’t the best it was still really fun and there was enough to see and do. We had a delicious meal with them and their children at their homestay and in the evening we played some games and drank some happy water:) Really lovely people!
