Bassano del Grappa is a true gem that will amaze you: the tour begins at the Ponte Vecchio, also known as the Ponte degli Alpini, a historic symbol of the city, of vital economic and military importance. It was often destroyed by war and the flooding of the Brenta River, always rebuilt in stone or wood.
We'll continue slightly uphill and admire ancient buildings, the remains of the ancient city walls, the Ezzelini Castle, Palazzo Pretorio, and Piazza Garibaldi, overlooked by the Civic Tower that dominates the entire historic center.
A must-see is a visit to a historic distillery where you'll learn the history of Italy's most famous spirit: grappa. You'll discover its origins, how this distillate from pomace (grape skins) was once produced, and how it is still produced today, and you'll enjoy a guided grappa tasting.

It was a pleasant, fun and well conducted tour by guide Chiara from LoVivo Tour Experience. We know the city, with the guide pointing the history and the main places of interest, squares, the Botteca del Pane and the Ponte degli Alpini. On the visit to the distillery Nardini, in addition to knowing the technique of distilling grape bagas to become grappa, we were toasted with Nicole's joy. Enthusiastically, she led us through the Nardini labyrinth and showed us the facilities where it all began in 1779. The alambics and furniture are kept as part of the memory. At the end, the tasty tasting. Thank you Chiara!

Beautiful and well organized tour, ideal for discovering Bassano del Grappa. From the Ponte degli Alpini to the old town, each stage is told in a clear and engaging way. The walk between historic buildings and squares is pleasant and full of charm. The visit to the historic distillery is the real added value: interesting, authentic and enriched by a really appreciated guided tasting of grappa. Nicola then, super :) Highly recommended!
