USS Arizona Memorial
The USS Arizona Memorial is a white, open-air structure that spans the remains of the sunken battleship. It's a solemn and quiet place, designed to allow visitors to reflect on the sacrifices made by the sailors and Marines who were lost during the attack Viewing the Wreckage: Inside the memorial you can look down into the water to see parts of the sunken battleship. The ship's outline is visible just below the surface, and oil droplets, often referred to as "The Tears of the Arizona," can still be seen rising to the surface Remembrance Wall: At the far end of the memorial is a wall inscribed with the names of the 1,177 crew members who lost their lives aboard the USS Arizona. This is a self-directed experience where you are driven to and from Pearl Harbour, handed your admission tickets and given brief instructions that were a bit vague for people who are visiting an unfamiliar place. Having said that, our driver, Lena, relayed interesting information during our drive and city tour, and offered an early return to town if desired which we greatly appreciated after 7 hours of the intense heat of the day. We were unable to visit the Arizona Memorial due to repairs and renovations being conducted, but we were treated to the sailing equivalent of a drive by of the memorial and the USS Missouri, as a Park Ranger shared facts about the memorial. The shuttle drivers going to and from Ford Island were also exceptionally interesting. We really enjoyed their commentary. The standby kiosk, where you booked your ride to the USS Arizona, was easy to navigate though staff were available to answer questions. If you'd prefer a more hands on experience perhaps book a tour that includes a personal tour guide but we managed just fine on our own. I recommend this tour to people who like to be independent and go at their own pace.

Our host and driver, Summer, made this trip special. This was my fifth time at Pearl Harbor and even I learned some new things. Summer exceeded my expectations as a host, very accommodating and pleasant. Thank you.

The visit was intended to pay respects to the fallen victims of war. To listen to their cries that echoed though time. To show gratitude to their ultimate services and sacrifice.

We had a humbling day of exploration and history on this tour. The guide enriched our tour with details that help us get the most out of our time at the museums. The coaches were comfortable and the tour size just right.

A very emotional experience. It does not matter whether you served or not this is a must do trip if in Hawaii. Our guide was great, explaining the history of the island and allowed us plenty of photo stops. Stops at the Arizona memorial and then the Missouri were really informative…. Like stepping back in time. (Would have been great to have fitted in time to go on the submarine though.)

August the tour guide really made our tour lively and educational! We got a mini quiz afterwards to make sure we were paying attention. He also waited for us after we uh got erm lost in the USS Missouri. Pearl Harbor itself is a must and i appreciated the park ranger reminding everyone before going to the USS Arizona was that it is a solemn and serious place. Great way to remind everyone how to behave.

Lovely tour guide, Pearl Harbor was amazing. Only thing that could be improved is the waiting for pickup at Pearl Harbor. Driver had gone back to Waikiki to drop back people on shorter tours so we had to wait longer than anticipated.
