This was the first thing we did when arriving in Munich and had a blast. Bernd was fun and informative right from the start. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Munich area.

Sam was our guide and he was excellent!! We were happy we did this tour on our first night in Munich - it was a great introduction to the city and we had lots of delicious food and beer. The beer museum was very interesting too.

I wish someone wrote what this tour entailed before I spent $170 for 2 people. Now that I have been through this tour, I can share the details. I would recommend doing this on your own without a group. You get no real value paying for this tour, especially if you can use a basic app to navigate the walkable city of Munich. I would say a good tour guide can make or break a tour, we were on the unfortunate side this time. I did reach out to Radius Tours directly and shared my concerns with them. They have promised to address the concerns with the tour guide. Here is a summary of the tour: -First stop, you grab a free beer from the Radius tour office (Munchner hell). We were instructed to leave our empty bottles by the side of the road/trash bins for homeless people to pick up and recycle for refund. Hopefully this was appropriate. - Second stop, you stand and wait for the tram. It's unclear if they paid for our tickets, but we were on for 2 stops. -You walk for a bit and then stop at an old palace that has been restored, you pass the old city wall with a backwards clock. -Then you stop by and stand in front of the Hofbrauhaus which is now a restaurant and has bad food according to Bernd the tour guide (direct quote "food good enough to sh*t out only") -You get to the beer and Oktoberfest Museum restaurant. You get a tasting of 3 beers €4.50 (tasting value) -You get entry to the Oktoberfest & Beer Museum with a tour by your assigned guide-€4.00 (ticket value) -You have dinner at Hackerhaus: You are first served a small board of meats & 1 cheese, and variety of smoked pork sausage & ham + roast pork + potato + 1 free beer. Unfortunately, the appetizer is not enough for the large group, so not everyone gets to sample everything. Our tablemates were generous and shared pieces of their sausage so we can all sample. Be aware that any additional beers are at your own expense. So if we value the dinner at €20 euro per person, it would be generous. The service was slow at the restaurant, the waitress was abrasive and unfriendly. I would never choose to dine here (look at the TripAdvisor reviews, they are simply terrible!) So you can do this on your own without paying anyone to get to the museum restaurant for a tasting, an audio tour of the museum, and take yourself out to a better dinner to experience some good Bavarian food. And honestly, what saved this group tour was the amazing fellow travelers who made up for this mess of a tour. I appreciated that they all felt the same, that the tour was disorganized, uninteresting, and the tour guide was not communicative enough (Bernd). He made a few references to women that made me feel uncomfortable, especially when he referred to the Queen Consort of England as a "horse." His general attitude toward women was problematic when he said things like "we can't say that anymore" in reference to pretty women. He was also unclear about the bill at the end of the meal. Half of our group left without paying for their additional drinks. Although Bernd appeared "nice" he was not helpful giving directions to the group when we needed to cross or enter an area. It felt like he was on the tour "with us" instead of leading us. I did not find any of the facts he shared interesting or new. In fact, he pointed out very little history with us. He made no efforts to learn about the members of our group and to connect us. Another major concern was this person's personal hygiene -- it was without question that he smelled of strong body odor. It was pretty obvious in the tiny rooms of the Beer and Oktoberfest museum when he left a waft of body odor from room to room. At one point, a group of us had to huddle by the open windows to breath fresh air because the stench was overpowering. His personal appearance was disheveled and his sneakers had holes. Obviously, Radius Tours can and SHOULD do better. I recommend the itinerary include more beer history and MORE beer included on this tour. Overall, I found no value in the tour outside of the amazing people we met on this tour. I hope this review will help you reconsider taking this tour, as I would definitely ask for a refund since I felt like my night in Munich was wasted on this tour. Don't be us!

We had a great time with Leon and meeting new friends on the Bavarian Beer and Food tour! The event started at the meeting site with a beer and meeting other members of the group. Next we went to our first stop for a beer tasting and appetizers with a tour of the Oktoberfest museum. We had fun learning about the history and process of making traditional German beer. Next we toured other beer gardens ending with a delicious meal and more beer! The food and drinks were amazing and we stayed past the allotted time to enjoy the evening with new friends.
