• Luxury catamaran experience with a professional crew

  I was only in Athens for two days and I met up with a friend who loves sailing/swimming so I asked if she would like to do this. We are so glad that we did the 5 hour day trip! This was truly a special and luxurious experience. We got lucky being the only two guests so we had the boat to ourselves but it would still be fabulous with others as it’s a max of 8 guests per sailing. I am not the most experienced swimmer but we went to two areas for swimming. The ladder to go down into the water made it easy for me to get in and out, and also was a place I could hang around. I am 45 and not the most athletic so while it might be easy for many, I was happy about this. The captain advised us and regularly checked in to make certain we were ok. He was also very kind in answering my questions about jellyfish (there were none!). There is also a shower to rinse off when getting out of the water. Our two servers were excellent. They always made sure we were ok with drinks and there was a delicious lunch prepared made with all fresh local ingredients. We also had a Greek yogurt dessert served to us while lounging up top on the way back to port! The catamaran itself is new and beautiful. It is extremely comfortable with a full bathroom, cabin for changing, an indoor kitchen and seating area, a covered dining area that is also good for lounging. There is an open area to sit up top which is where we sat most of the time when sailing! Everything about this trip was excellent! It was a true luxury experience at a very affordable price and we would recommend this to everyone! When I am lucky enough to come back to Athens this is the first thing I will book again!

  This was not just a cruise. It was one of the most beautiful family memories we have ever made. I was trying to find a special surprise for my daughter’s sweet sixteen birthday. This birthday felt important, and I wanted something different and unforgettable. That is how I found Santosails Athens. From my first phone call with Anna, the Operations Manager, I knew I was speaking with someone who truly cared. She was warm, friendly, helpful, and immediately understood how important this occasion was for us. She explained that this is their first season operating from Athens, although they have more than 12 years of experience in private sailing in Santorini. I also spoke with Theo, the Lead Captain, who was every bit as warm, friendly, and reassuring as Anna. He took time to share his background, explain the cruise, catamaran, itinerary, and what to expect on the day. After speaking with both of them, I knew this was the right choice. Together, they gave me complete confidence. I knew I was dealing with experienced professionals who took safety, guest experience, and our special occasion seriously, which meant everything to me as I was trusting them with my family. What impressed me most was how much heart Anna put into this. She immediately suggested turning the cruise into a proper sweet sixteen celebration on board. She understood the significance of the day and treated my daughter’s birthday as if it mattered to her personally. From there, Santosails Athens went above and beyond. They arranged for our cruise to be fully private, so my daughter, her friends, and our family had the entire catamaran to ourselves. The birthday decorations, flowers, balloons, and custom cake were absolutely beautiful. Every detail was handled with meticulous care. On the day of the cruise, we met our skipper, George, and first mate, Maria. George inspired confidence from the moment we stepped on board. He was calm, experienced, professional, warm, and friendly throughout the trip. Maria was equally impressive. As deckhand, she gave 100% the entire time, handling everything with confidence and grace. Always smiling and attentive, she was one step ahead of whatever we needed. The boat itself was stunning: spotless, luxurious, and prepared with so much care. After a thorough safety briefing, we were treated like VIPs from beginning to end. The atmosphere felt relaxed, joyful, and celebratory from the moment we departed. We swam in crystal-clear waters near Hydroussa Island, returned to warm towels and fresh fruit, then sailed toward Kavouri Bay for snorkeling in turquoise water. Exploring the reef, seeing colorful fish, and even spotting a tiny octopus made the experience feel magical. The food far exceeded our expectations. Greek salad, dolmadakia, meze, pita, tzatziki, shrimp linguine, BBQ chicken, wine, drinks, everything was delicious, fresh, and beautifully served. It honestly felt like dining in a five-star restaurant at sea. When we all sang Happy Birthday, my daughter was overwhelmed by the surprise and love of the moment. For me, that was when I knew the mission was accomplished. This was exactly the memory I had hoped to create for her. We sailed back during sunset, relaxing at the front of the catamaran, taking photos, laughing, and enjoying the Athens Riviera as the sun went down. It was peaceful, emotional, and perfect. A huge thank you to Anna, Theo, George, Maria, and the whole Santosails Athens team. You did not just organize a cruise. You helped create a lifetime memory for my daughter’s sweet sixteen. Every promise was kept, and then some. Every detail was thoughtful. Every person involved showed kindness, professionalism, warmth, and heart. If you are looking for a catamaran cruise in Athens, a private celebration, a birthday surprise, family experience, or a beautiful day on the Athens Riviera, I cannot recommend Santosails Athens enough. This was the best sweet sixteen anyone could wish for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
