PLEASE NOTE !! If you do not enter or select a pick up location your tour will be cancelled as without this information we can not collect you for the tour. PLEASE submit the name of your hotel or accommodation at the time of booking. If your accommodation is not listed please select the closest hotel to your accommodation. Once your booking is made please then contact us through the message center to advise us of the location you are staying. Please be mindful we only pick up from coastal areas along the South and West Coast unless you are booked on a private tour or your booking is 10 or more persons. In such cases we can make exceptions.
If you suffer from motion sickness, we recommend taking precautions before the start of the tour. Please also advise your tour guide. Whilst we can sympathize and will try to make you as comfortable as possible our island roads can be bumpy at windy. We must also ensure we take care of all our customers and ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle. If you are ill on board, you will be required to reimburse the driver before the end of the tour for the cleaning fee of between US seventy five and one hundred and fifty dollars. Thank you for your kind understanding. This is not applicable to the boat portion of your tour.
What To Expect
Barbados Garrison
The Garrison Historic Area From 1655 large fleets of British ships and soldiers were visiting and Barbados making it there base of operation. In the early years there were no barracks for them or provisions, the care and expense of the officers fell in the hands of Barbadians themselves. After repeated visits this became quite burdensome especially considering it was at a time when the island was quite impoverished. The legislature of Barbados was moved to petition the British government for a permanent garrison to be built on the island. It was not until 1780 that it was finally decided by the British Government to station a permanent garrison on the island. It was eventually decided that the Garrisons should be built near Charles Fort and St Anne’s Castle. 16 acres were purchased in 1789 and construction began by the early 19th century most of the buildings had been completed and had grown to cover 64 acres. The Garrison in Barbados is in fact the largest in the Caribbean. Many of the buildings were constructed of London brick brought out as ballast in ships which returned with sugar. Some 60 of the original buildings are still in existence today. The Savannah of itself was a very rocky area where many crabs lived. It had to be filled in and leveled for the troops to practice on. It was also the birthplace of cricket in Barbados and today serves as the islands racetrack. On November 30th 1966 Barbados was led into Independence by the then Premier Errol Walton Barrow, officially celebrating the achievement of nationhood as a sovereign and independent state within the Commonwealth

3.00Charles was a great tour guide. However, we did get to see a good amount of places. When we got to the animal flower cave we ate a nice dinner he called ahead which we still waited 20ons for our food. We thought when it said admission included for the flower cave we were going to go into cave. Was very disappointed we didn't. It was an extra 50. And we had no time since our dinner was so delayed. We had time though to stop at a bakery. It was alittle misleading. I would not recommend this tour as we didn't go into cave.

5.00An excellent and relaxed way to enjoy the coastline of Barbados and see more of the island than just Bridgetown or the west coast beaches. Driver, Winston was first class, very knowledgable and professional plus tour was never rushed. Lunch provided at the Animal Flower Cave, very north of Barbados and was delicious. A very well worth tour to do if you have not long arrived as provides bearings and insight into what else to explore, visit whilst staying on the island.

3.00This tour offers a long walk along the coasts and places of Barbados highlights, but I think at the point of visit to the animal flower cave was able to take advantage to go down to the cave as it is far and at least after this stop there was nothing significant in my opinion, the rich food and the beautiful place but it could be taken advantage of more, there is no bottle of gift rum, but we were provided with a complimentary ice cream, the tour is long can be fatigued. At least I could take good pictures the friendly and knowledgeable driver.
Our guide Charles was very good ann could answer any question.
