5.00Meeting up for this tour was easy and simple. After signing in at the tour shack in the Dockyards, first mate Jessie led us to the boat and we were off. The trip out from the Dockyards was awesome. Jessie provided facts about Bermuda as we cruised smoothly into the twilight. Once night fell, we were able to see several types of coral and fish through the glass at the bottom of the boat. We reached out destination, the USS Vixen, and spent some time exploring the wreck. Captain Hook and Jessie were easy to talk to and patiently answered all my questions about Bermuda on our trip back to port. All in all, a great experience and an awesome cruise.

3.00Unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected. Most of that was out of the captains' control. We happened to venture out on a very windy night in Bermuda. This affected the ability to see anything clearly on the glass bottom boat because of kicked up sand, but even more than that, it was a rocky and uncomfortable experience. Also - the thing I mostly went for, the very title of the excursion (Bermuda Triangle) was such a small fraction of the experience. This is 90% primarily a nighttime glass bottom boat excusion. As such, I think the title is misleading.

5.00We had a great night to take a boat ride out to the reef and a sunken ship. It was really cool to see the fish and coral at night through the glass bottom boat. Sam was very knowledgeable when telling us about the different types of coral and fish that were we’re seeing through the glass bottom. I enjoyed hearing about the boats captions stories of growing up in Bermuda and his time on the water. It ended with rum swizzles for the ride back to shore!
