Expensive and uncomfortable

2.00Firstly when you book you need to book for the train and then pay extra to reserve a seat. We made the mistake of booking both ways, dont do that, book one way and take a cheaper and faster train back. This was expensive. I found the seats hard and uncomfortable they are in 4s so you are facing two people with a table inbetween. There wasn't a lot of room so frequent knocking of feet and legs. One couple adjacent to us had a curry, very nice but a bit smelly. We booked window seats and im glad we did. Some people just pulled the blind down blocking the view for everyone else but we didnt do that. The trees and mountains are beautiful but after an hour i was all treed out, and still had 3 hours to go. The train stops quite a few time to let people on and off. I was bored and uncomfortable. I noticed several people nodding off so i wasnt alone in my boredom.

3.00Make sure you sit on the right side of the train. The right side had by far the most views and all of us on the left side missed out on a lot of views. We spent so much of the time on the bus to get to the train, then we had the long trip back to Milan. I was SO looking forward to this, our tour guide was great, and I glad we made it, but I don't ever need to spend that much for that.

Overall great. Chiara and the driver were very helpful. The bus was extremely hot and could not be adjusted.
