This was such an awesome experience!!! Our tour guide was Leon and he was amazing!!! Because he grew on the island, he was so knowledgeable and informative. He is also married a Native Hawaiian, which also brought extra knowledge about how acquiring land from Hawaiian Homestead as well as working with The Office of Hawaiian Affairs. He kept us laughing and engaged, and we loved it!!! Book with Ohana Tours and request Leon as your guide!!! 10/10 highly recommend!!!

What a WONDERFUL experience! This is our 2nd Island tour, the first with Ohana. Do yourself a favor, BOOK WITH OHANA AND ASK FOR GUIDE LEON. What a gentleman; great communication, very punctual, fun, extremely knowledgable, witty, and an all around great day for our family! I can't possibly say enough about our phenomenal experience. It was the best kick-off for our family vacation.

The Big Island In A Day tour is a LONG (11 hrs) tour. Don't let that scary you though. It is So worth it It didn't feel like it. We saw so much of the Big Island of Hawaii. There is no way we would have seen everything we saw on our own. Our Tour Guide Leon was so much fun and knowledgeable. He loves his home and that was evident. His enthusiasm shone through from the minute we met him in the morning until the end of the tour at the end of the day. This tour took us from Kona to Hilo. We saw two water falls, lava tubes, the southern most point in the US, a coffee plantaion and chocolate company, and who can forget the Kilauea volcano. If you are looking for a fun filled tour that takes you to water falls, a volcano, a coffee plantaion and so much more, this is the tour for you. The van is a smaller confortable 15 passanger van. Snacks and water are provided, however lunch is not. There is a stop at a bakery where you can purchase lunch and then go to a beach to eat your lunch. While there, you may even spot a sea turtle or 2. I highly recommend the Big Island In A Day tour with Leon and Ohana Tours. You will not be sorry.

We had originally booked with another tour provider who called the next day to inform us they don’t allow kids under 6 to tour so we looked online and landed on Ohana Tours. So glad we did!! The bus was clean and well kept. The tour guide was super Informative about the island as well as the other islands that make up Hawaii. He was well versed in local life and fun facts about everything. He provided waters and snacks, all of the stops were well through out and he gave great advice and recommendations about what goodies we could pick up during the tour. He also had good recommendations about placing to come back and visit on our own time.

My family and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We saw so much of the island and learned so many things. The tour was the perfect amount of people and the tour van was very comfortable. Definitely the best part of the tour was our guide, Leon. The places we saw were amazing but the context he added made them so meaningful. He kept us entertained with commentary and we all felt very safe with his driving. Clearly he loves what he does because he's absolutely excellent at it. I don't know how he keeps all that information in his head but he is an encyclopedia of Hawaiian culture and history. The stops were all timed really well, we never felt rushed nor did we feel like any of the stops were too long or short. If you're going to do a tour of the big island, it doesn't get any better than this one! Thanks again Leon!!!

We had an absolutely incredible experience touring the Big Island with Ohana Tours! From start to finish, they were knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about sharing the beauty and history of Hawaii. Not only did they take us to breathtaking locations, but they also shared fascinating stories about the island’s culture, geology, wildlife, and local traditions that we never would have learned on our own. They made sure everyone was comfortable, answered all of our questions, and went above and beyond to make the day special. Their local knowledge helped us discover hidden gems and spectacular viewpoints that we would have completely missed otherwise. The tour was well-organized, relaxed, and felt personalized rather than rushed. If you’re visiting the Big Island and want an unforgettable experience, I cannot recommend Ohana Tours enough. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip, and we left with a much deeper appreciation for Hawaii and its incredible beauty. Mahalo for an amazing day—we’ll be recommending this tour to all our friends and family! 🌺🌴🌋☀️

The Big Island tour with Leon at Ohana Tours was amazing! So worth the money. We got to see so much of the Big Island in just a day in comfort, style, and ease. The Ohana Tours sprinter van was luxurious, comfortable, and spacious. It was nice not having to worry about driving or traffic. Leon our tour guide was FANTASTIC and really made the tour so entertaining and enjoyable. He’s funny, friendly, charismatic, professional, and so knowledgeable. As a native Hawaiian, he taught us many Hawaiian words and phrases, as well as history and legends. We stopped at many iconic spots on the Big Island, got to try lots of good food, take great pictures, etc. Leon gave us drinks and chips for snacks. He also took care of all of the admission fees for everything, including Rainbow Falls. Bring good hiking/walking shoes with good grip, a light rain jacket (the weather varies so much across the island), water, sunscreen, a hat, and a good attitude. Be sure to also bring cash for the many little vendors you’ll stop at, as well as cash to tip Leon with at the end for his excellent service! It was a beautiful day and I would highly recommend this tour to anybody interested, and I genuinely would do it again myself. Book this now!!!

Our day exploring the Big Island with Leon was truly one of the highlights of our trip. As a native Hawaiian, Leon brought an incredible depth of knowledge and perspective that made every stop so much more meaningful. He shared fascinating facts about the island's history, culture, traditions, and natural landmarks that we never would have learned on our own. Beyond his knowledge, Leon's warmth, kindness, and genuine love for Hawaii made the experience unforgettable. From breathtaking waterfalls to volcanic landscapes and hidden gems, every part of the tour felt special because of the stories and insights he shared along the way. If you're visiting the Big Island, we cannot recommend Leon enough. You won't just see Hawaii—you'll gain a deeper appreciation for it through the eyes of someone who proudly calls it home. Mahalo, Leon, for an amazing day and memories we'll cherish forever!
