This tour takes place in the Idro Valley and the Giurdignano area. Both of these regions are characterized by a picturesque landscape, rich in nature and olive groves, and by a wealth of archaeological and historical sites, spanning from prehistory to the modern era. Menhirs, dolmens, churches carved in the stone, and graffities are just some of the traces of past civilizations scattered throughout these territories.
To explore these areas, a bicycle is the best mode of transportation because it allows you to reach places inaccessible by car. The first part of the route heads up the Idro Valley to reach Giurdignano. From there, we head toward the Massi della Vecchia and then return to Otranto. Along the way, we will make a few stops to visit natural and archaeological sites.
This is a cultural and active tour, designed for people interested in nature, history, archaeology, and outdoor activities. It is intended for anyone in good physical condition who is comfortable riding a bicycle.

Otranto
After a short ride we will leave the beautiful city of Otranto behind for going into the Idro Valley. You will not believe how fast we will be far from the traffic and surrounded by nature. Indeed, this valley is characterized by its green sides quiet uncommon in this part of Puglia. This is the reason why humans settled here from prehistory. The firts stops of our journey will focus on some the past traces found throuoght this valley.
Giurdignano
Giurdignano's territory is known as Italy's Megalthic Garden due to the large amount of prehistoric dolmen and menhir that it has. We will admire some of these.

We participated in this outing with a lot of curiosity. The trust was very well placed since everything that Mauricio proposed was perfect. The rented bikes were high value and absolutely perfect in maintenance. The ride was very nice and captivating. Mauricio was a very good cicero and told us many curiosities that I, as a Salento, did not know. The bike ride was very nice and with the right physical commitment. Some passages were very funny. A path to recommend!

Beautiful experience, with a group of friends, to discover the beauty and history of the hydro valley by bike. The guide, Mauricio, is a kind person, prepared, attentive to the needs of the group and passionate about his work and the history of the territory. He made us discover the wonders of these places combining culture, history, nature and the pleasure of a day in company in a single formula! Top!

On April 25th we treated ourselves, together with our swimming friends of the weekend, to a different Saturday than usual.... A bike ride in nature Mauricio was a truly exceptional guide: not only super prepared in the area, but also capable of making the experience light, fun and engaging from start to finish. The route was perfectly organized, with the right mix of nature, culture and relaxation, and he was always attentive to everyone's needs. An experience that I would do again immediately and a guide that I would definitely recommend!

Initially I was not enthusiastic about learning among the dirt roads of the valley of the hydro, I let myself be convinced by the chance to spend a morning with my swimming friends and share it all with my family♥️💪🏿, the photos do not make the beauty of the people you are and the beauty of our land, thanks to you @Mauricio today I come home with an unforgettable day♥️♥️♥️ you are great. Good first one 💪🏿
