We are Located right in Maun, our experience blends cultural education, animal connection, and peaceful nature. Guests don’t just ride camels—they meet them, feed them, and learn their stories. With a locally owned curio shop featuring camel-themed crafts, and warm, personalized hospitality, we provide a one-of-a-kind activity that can’t be found anywhere else in the region.

What To Expect
At Okavango Camel Rides, your adventure begins with a warm welcome from our friendly team and an introduction to our gentle camels, where You’ll learn fun facts about camels. Next, you’ll enjoy a 1-kilometer guided camel ride, where you’ll gently sway through our peaceful bush setting. After the ride, you’ll have a chance to feed and pet the camels.

You must ride a camel while in Africa

5.00This is a unique and wonderful 1/4 day African experience. We learned about camels and rode them for about 30 minutes. Here the camels are well cared for and very tame. Seems like a camel heaven. The team here was very friendly and welcoming. The manager arranged for a low cost pickup and drop off at our hotel which was very convenient.

5.00What an amazing day! We had an incredible time on the camel safari, and it was easily one of the highlights of our visit to Maun. A huge shout-out to our operators, Kgosi and i believe Kese. They are such lovely, beautiful people—so professional, kind, and clearly passionate about their animals. They made sure we felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire ride, sharing great stories along the way. The camels were well-cared for and the scenery was stunning. If you're looking for a unique adventure in Botswana, I can’t recommend these guys enough!
