Canal Grande
“The most beautiful road in the world”, this is how the Canal Grande is known as. If you look around, what you will see is almost the same view that a 18th-century nobleman would have seen, and before him a Renaissance courtesan, and even before that, a merchant who lived in the Middle Ages.
Peggy Guggenheim Collection
Peggy Guggenheim Collection is one of the most important art collections in the world. Peggy Guggenheim, from New York, arrived in Venice in 1949 and began to satisfy her art addiction by buying this wonderful building where she put on display invaluable artworks for the whole world to see. The beautiful terrace you see is where Guggenheim sun-bathed regularly enjoying the view over the Canal Grande

There is a 15 minute walking tour that starts off of San Marco Square. It goes over 5 bridges. Next the gondola ride. It’s 30 minutes and there is nothing to see but walls of buildings. My last gondola ride went through interesting canals and the driver talked about the things we were seeing. I don’t recommend this trip.

The intro & virtual reality were nice surprises. The gondola ride was pleasant—but would have been much more so had our gondolier not been loudly speaking with the gondolier adjacent to us almost the entire journey. The ride allows less than 30 minutes.

We had paid for a 30 minute gondola ride plus the VR experience and intro to gallery . We got none of that . What we did get was a 25 minute ride round in a loop. It would have been cheaper to just hop on another gondola at 90 euros-110 . Disappointing as this was for our 10 year wedding anniversary.

The VR presentation was extremely informative and gave more meaning to the actual ride. Our guide was very good and we enjoyed her presentation.

Not worth it. We were charged a 175$ for this experience. We were promised 30 min gondola ride and an additional 20 min for some type of learning or something - but that did not occur. And the gondola ride only lasted 20 minutes. Would not recommend. Completely not worth it

Not a great experience. The gondola driver was a bit rude. He didnt clearly tell us where he wanted us sit at the beginning and got mad when we were moving. This was 1/2 walking to the gondola and the a very short ride through a small canal nearSt Marks Square. I had figured Grand Canal would be near the Rialto bridge as the picture showed and where I saw many gondolas on the walk over. Not the case at all. Not worth what I paid. I would rather have paid a little extra and gotten one myself and not through Viator. I have booked many tours over the years and this is the first to disappoint.

First they showed a virtual reality experience but it didn't work. Then they provided a short tour of the environs on the way to the gondola ride. What was pointed out was not of much importance, relatively speaking. We passed about 3 other gondoliers on the way. All we wanted was a gondola ride. We won't schedule a gondola "tour" next time.

Fun and a must do when in Venice. We enjoyed the guide sharing information on the way to the dock. That was an unexpected bonus!

Fun ride! Great experience! It’s “a must” to ride on a gondola when visiting Venice. Having all the canals surrounding the city makes it a fun way to get around.

Horrible experience. We followed the directions on the voucher and then the description of where the Gondola would be as well. We spoke with other Gondola’s as well as hotels to assist which is what was recommended by the tour operator and received no help. They are charging the same price as the Gondola’s that are on ever corner who don’t require reservations. We spent double because they refused to refund or try to work with us. We did multiple tours in Venice and had no issues with any other tour guides or instructions to get to meeting points. I don’t recommend this tour, at all.
