Well, that's £50 and over three hours of my life I'll never get back. The bus was uncomfortable, the driver decided to have a blazing row with a colleague in Valletta and the commentary is dire. If I want to learn about the Maltese education system, I'll Google it. On a bus tour, I want to know what that interesting looking building on the left is. And what commentary there was, generally didn't synch with the sights. To cap it off, we were treated to every traffic jam and building site in Malta. Save your money and time.

Cannot belive the 1 star ratings from people. We really enjoyed the South trip. Very informative, bus a typical British converted bus. Yes, the drivers were a bit stop and go, but no real issues. Great stop offs. We enjoyed the fishing village for lunch. Well worth the 90 Euros for 2 people and that included tomorrow’s North tour. Sit back and enjoy the tour

The tour starts at the port, there are two routes you can choose - you also can ride one after another. You can get off at any of the official stops, the buses are circling around the island so there always will be one to get back on. The time between buses is 45 minutes. The route takes us through many small towns/villages with narrow streets - so the bus drivers have to be incredibly skilled. The drivers are very nice, helpful and also accommodating towards any handicapped person. Our driver Athul was absolutely a master in his craft. We all watched in disbelief as he meandered the huge bus between other cars and trucks in these tiny streets. It was quite an experience.

On 19 May I went into the I See Malta office at Aqualuna and paid €50 to book 2 tickets for the Hop on hop off, northern route. I was told the bus would arrive at 1007. OK so far. When the bus arrived, it was full - jammed pack with all seats taken and no standing room left. The rude and angry bus driver kept shouting "full, full" and slammed the door. The lady running I See Malta told us this often happened and a second bus was always put on when the first was full and would be along in 10mins. LIE. Half an hour passed with no second northern route bus. We were then told we would then have to take a southern route bus to Valletta and change to a north route bus which was waiting for us. LIE. We stood on the packed bus into Valletta and was met by a guide who told us the next northern route bus would depart in 40 mins. We eventually got seats on the bus but because our schedule had been badly delayed, we only had time for one hop off hop on before the scheduled ended. We got off at the Artisans Village (total rubbish; nothing like the old village) and got on the next bus 1 hour later. This bus was packed and we again had to stand as far as Golden Bay. In summary: 1. about twice as many tickets sold for the number of seats available. 2. Rude, incompetent staff with a could not care less attitude. We wasted a complete day for a really bad experience. Unfortunately the office was closed when we eventually got back. I emailed I See Malta with my comments; no reply.

DO NOT USE MALTA SIGHTSEEING HOP ON HOP OFF. We bought tickets and waited ages for the bus, we kept getting told bus is coming, eventually we asked for o refund, informed he couldn’t do it. When bus eventually arrived said we could get refund at Sliemma. When we got there said we could get refund at kiosk, felt a bit dubious as once off bus we had no redressso decided to do the tour. The seats are well worn, the ear piece doesn’t work properly and can’t turn the volume up or down so commentary was negligible. Do not get this company mixed up with the red bus Hop on hop off, if it has Malta Sightseeing on the side of the bus, they are the only bus company you can use, and there are not that many of them, hence why we didn’t get off at any of the stops, not knowing when another bus would come along.

Crossed by ferry. Bus was waiting and we sat on top. You get a commentary through earphones in a choice of languages. We got off at a craft village and got back on at a later pick up. Really enjoyed it and would thoroughly recommend

This touring experience was wrong and dishonest from the time we got off the ship and the promoter told us we'd have a convenient and complete Malta experience with multiple buses available throughout the day. Not only was it extremely limited, the buses did not stop where they're map indicated they would. Also, workers kept promising buses were soon to come and we continually waited way too long. We once waited longer than an hour. For cruisers punctuality matters. VERY DISSAPPOINTING!!!!!!! Use the other Hop on Hop Off bus service that does not approach you once you're at the port. They HAVE to be better. :(

In occasion of a family day trip to malta, we booked 4 tickets for the same day and rushed to the pick-up location; the website flashes a big yellow line up top saying "free cancellation". Waited 50 minutes, standing, nobody was there to represent the company, give information, no signs, no indication. Once tired to wait, we decided to cancel the tickets and give the tour up; it is little over 1 hour after purchasing them. The company denies the refund because we didn't cancel 24 h before the experience. We are now trying to make the time machine work, down in the basement, for the purpose. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS Unless you too, have a time machine in your basement.
