What To Expect
Preseren Square
We begin in Preseren Square, the beating heart of the city. We learn basic history of Ljubljana before we explore the different sights that are located at the square.
France Preseren statue
We learn about France Preseren, a truly colorful figure whose poetry inspired the nation during the Romantic days of the 19th Century. Find out why he was no Romeo and why we consider him to be our national poet.

5.00Our tour guide, Doman, was great! He was very knowledgeable and shared a good amount of historical information, but kept it interesting. We covered the city highlights and he provided great recommendations for activities, restaurants, and sight seeing tips.

5.00We went on a free tour of Ljubljana upon our arrival. It was a fascinating introduction to a city that we knew very little about previously. Our guide, Tina, took us around some of the main sights of interest and her informed and interesting commentary blended history, current affairs, culture, art, and architecture. What was particularly striking were her illuminating comments on what it was like to live under four different regimes in succession based on her own family's history.

5.00I had a wonderful tour with Tina (number 2) on Tues the 30th of June. The meeting place was so easy to find and I instantly felt welcome and not awkward, which can happen as a solo traveller. Tina was very enthusiastic about the beautiful city and this made the tour even better. I left that tour understanding alot more about the history and identity of Ljubljana. Would definitely recommend!
