Following the new directives of the Colosseum, the ticket to the Colosseum is nominative and therefore it is mandatory to provide the FULL NAME OF ALL PARTICIPANTS. (INCLUDING INFANTS)

After the visit of the Colosseum (around 1h), with the same tickets, you will be able to visit the Palatine Hill, Roman Forum and Imperial Forum still accompanied with our Videoguide App!
The Colosseum requires mandatory entry procedures and mandatory security check that must be carried out. This may delay the tour departure especially on national holidays, weekends and during high season.
Everyone, also children/under 18 must carry ID passports or a valid identity document (also a digital copy), because the Colosseum staff may ask to check them at the entrance.
The Colosseum area is an open archaeological park and for this reason is not equipped with sun/rain covers and shops. The local operator is not responsible for any kind of discomfort due to this.
Please wear comfortable shoes and bring your own bottle of water (no glass bottles/no alcohol).

It is forbidden to enter the Colosseum and Palatine Hill/Roman Forum/Imperial Forum with with BULKY luggages, handbags. Please be aware that there is no luggage storage and that we cannot keep your stuff. Take only the necessary stuff: camera, plastic bottles, documents, wallets etc
It is strictly forbidden to enter the Colosseum with knives and any kind of cutting object. Pay attention not to bring with you this kind of stuff.

3.00Great tour, great guide with the app. Unfortunately, we did not complete the tour because we booked the Colosseum entry for 05/31 at 5:30 PM to avoid the heat, but we did not have time to visit the nearby attraction because it closes at 6:15 PM and THIS WAS NOT COMMUNICATED. The ticket was still valid for 24 hours, unfortunately, the next day we had other visits and could not return.

3.00The lady in the office was lovely and gave us the maps and directions of how to enter the Collesseum. The tour itself was by AI video. I would suggest having these downloaded prior to entering although I was able to get WiFi inside to download them before we started. There are 13 videos in total and there were impersonal and felt history rich for us rather than being an immersive experience. We enjoyed being in the Colesseum but actually gave up on the videos after a while.

4.00Clear info with instructions on how to obtain tickets. Also clear communication in advance by email and SMS. Office is located near Colosseum in quiet street. Very helpful girl. Audio guide goes with own phone with pop-up movies in language of your choice (no NL) Does not work completely problem-free.

It's a shame about the inconvenience in retrieving the tickets, wasting time by having to go physically to an address. It seems excessive in 2026. It would have been sufficient to send the entrance tickets via email.

1.00During our recent vacation in Italy, my wife booked a VIP entrance to the Colosseum through the GetYourGuide portal. In detail: booking GYGZGZ48K8NB, access to the Colosseum and Arena option, 2 adults and 1 child, price EUR 145.71, date Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 10 AM. Supplier of the activity: ANCIENT & RECENT Tour Operator, 19 Marco Aurelio Street, Rome. The facts: on the day of the tour, upon arriving on time at the indicated address, we are informed that our reservation has been CANCELED. I ask for an explanation and they tell me that it is not their fault. I ask for an alternative solution and they respond that they cannot do anything. They then invite me to leave because they have other customers waiting. I check the GetYourGuide app and the reservation still appears valid, but within a few minutes its status changes to "canceled." It is clear that they canceled it at that moment; in fact, the employee returns and tells me: "Do you see?" "Your reservation is canceled." A grotesque mockery! I then ask to speak with the owner, who is passed to me on the phone; he introduces himself as lawyer Guido Gerace and within a few minutes manages to make things even worse. A serious person would have apologized and sought an alternative; instead, this self-proclaimed prince of the bar gives me a scene beyond the limits of rudeness, shouting that I was obstructing the work of his office, that he would call the Carabinieri, that "he was a lawyer and would have me thrown in jail and thrown away the key." Crazy stuff! After a few days, we were refunded for the reservation, but our day at the Colosseum was ruined. In conclusion, these people offer a shameful service. They profit from the large flow of international "one-shot" tourists but take no responsibility. Therefore, I suggest staying away. However, I am surprised that an international portal like GetYourGuide maintains certified collaborations with such low-quality tour operators. Perhaps it is time to clean house.
