Truly amazing day. Great hike, beautiful scenery, and Leone was an excellent guide! I went with my 18 year old son and we both had a blast! Leone was able to navigate a delicate situation with an older hiker that was slowing the group down, as well as she was able to navigate the terrain! Memorable day for sure!

My husband and I had the absolute BEST hike experience with our guide, Matt. A native of Howth, Matt had incredible passion and life stories to share about all things Howth! From fairies, to hurling fields, to Vikings, to Dublin Bay prawns (yum), we had an amazing hike in mist, fog, rain, wind and sun! A perfect day in Ireland! Matt brought the Howth area to life for us and we will be forever grateful for his kindness and teaching.

This coastal hiking tour in Howth was one of the highlights of my Dublin trip. In just three hours, our guide Matt covered thousands of years of Irish history, all while we walked along some genuinely stunning coastline. He was incredibly knowledgeable and a lot of fun and personable, making the whole experience feel more like hanging out with a friend than a typical tour. If you're looking for great views and great storytelling in one outing, highly recommend this one!

Matt, our guide was so knowledgeable, personable and easy and fun to follow. The hike itself was a bit challenging up to the summit, but Matt knew the right times to stop and share information. Always checking in with all. Best adventure of the trip. So worth the time and money. Views are stunning!

An amazing day in Howth! I was originally planning to try the Cliff Walk paths by myself, but last minute decided to book with Howth Adventures and I am so glad I did. Matt was our guide and shared so many tidbits of information about Howth and the history of Ireland. He said lots of the knowledge has been passed down via his family which is really neat. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the views were great. I saw areas of the peninsula that I definitely wouldn't have seen without a guide. Highly recommend. It was also super easy to take the DART from Dublin city center which drops off very close to the initial meeting point.

Matt was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide! He was patient and kept us entertained with various stories. There were 6 in our group- 2 sets of 2, and 2 singles. It was brilliant! Loved having a more personalized adventure. We learned a lot and didnt even realize how much we had walked! We lucked out with GREAT weather. I can't recommend Matt Martin enough! I recommend also planning to allow yourself time after your hike to visit the local shops and restaurants. We finished around 3ish and unfortunately had to hurry to our next event around 430. Would have loved to shop more, walk around more, and grab a bite. (We did get some fish and chips to go!)

Our family of 5 adults did a hike with Zack and we had a great time. The scenery in Howth is beautiful, and Zack did a great job guiding us and informing us all about his hometown outside of Dublin. The hike was definitely moderate in a couple areas but the majority of it was very comfortable. Dress for any weather... we had a combination of blue skies and sunshine as well as rain and some extreme wind. Overall, a great time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our half day walking tour of Howth, the summit and the cliffs. Our guide was very friendly, had loads of local knowledge and kept the walking pace appropriate for our fitness level. Also took a shortcut along the cliffs to avoid the crowds which we appreciated. Highly recommend!

I gave this five stars but want to be honest… Matt was our guide and he was so knowledgeable about the Celtic history and definitely shared it as we trudged along. I say trudged because we are two grandmas and our 10 year old granddaughter. She did great… but I’m from Florida…. We don’t have hiking “hills” like this where I live. Plus it rained. Actually, it poured …. stopped…. and started pouring again. There were three lovely ladies on this tour too but they were substantially younger than me. I hated to do it but I had to bail when we stopped at a little pub for a restroom break. Although sadly we did not see the “coast” part of the tour, there was no way I could continue. So… no matter what age you are… if you are in good physical shape for hills and valleys it’s a great tour. But if you are older and not used to climbing hills, like I am not, you may want to pass.
