A really cool educational and inspirational tour of the great work that Eco Barge are undertaking. We received a very informative tour, learning about the plastics the team are collecting and how they recycle/repurpose them. We even got to experience part of the process first hand by sorting and shredding some plastic. As an extra bonus you get to see their rescue turtles up close and Kelly was very knowledgeable about their situations and how they look after them. We got to see the volunteers at work, as well as learn about the surrounding ecosystem and how the team are helping to maintain and develop it! The jewellery team were clearly very passionate and took time to explain how they used the plastics to create the beautiful products. They are doing vital work with a smile and it was nice to feel like we were supporting something which is undervalued in today’s society. Their pickup and drop off service was also easy to organise and very convenient. A big thanks to Kelly and Libby and the rest of the crew for having us!

I had a wonderful tour of Ecobarge with my friend Dawn. Lovely Kelly picked us up in the bus and was our tour guide. She explained the wonderful work they do removing rubbish from the sea and recycling a lot of the rubbish to make things. My favourite time there was seeing the turtles they rescue and keep there while they are healing. I also got to meet lovely Libby who also works there. I loved the gift shop where you can buy earrings and magnets made from recycled plastic. It was a very special experience. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing experience. Kelly the guide is so knowledgeable and Libby is the most amazing woman who founded Eco Barge. Absolutely loved the experience of understanding more about marine debris and the effects of our oceans and absolutely loved meeting the turtles that have been rescued and are being rehabilitated.

A huge thank you to Libby and Kelly for the most amazing Eco Barge experience in Airlie Beach. We were shown how marine debris (and there are tonnes of it) is collected, counted, cleaned and recycled into art and jewellery. We were shown the Turtle Rescue Centre. We will never forget seeing how these amazing creatures are cared for, rehabilitated and returned to the ocean. This was the highlight of our trip to the Whitsundays and will be talking about it for a long time to come.

Wow, Libby amazing work building this environmental awareness tour linking waste removal from the waterways to rehibilating sick and injured sea turtles. Kelly was very friendly, knowledgable and passionate about removing the waste to improve the waterways. The creations from marine waste from the volunteers is incredible. Bringing the community together. This tour reminds you that there are good people in the world doing meaningful work to preserve our marine life. Outstanding ideas and I wish you much sucess for the future 🤩
