What To Expect
Meet the humpback whales, the iconic giants of Polynesian waters. Every year, between August and November, they travel thousands of kilometres to give birth and raise their young in the warm waters of Tahiti, offering an absolutely fascinating natural spectacle. Check-out at 7:30 or 12:30 am, embark on an excursion in search of these majestic mammals. Watch their powerful breaths on the surface, their huge fins splitting the ocean and, hopefully, their impressive jumps out of the water. Mothers accompanied by their calves often offer scenes of incredible tenderness. When the conditions are right, the experience takes on an even more extraordinary dimension: you can snorkel in the water to observe whales in their universe. Floating in the Pacific blue while a whale of dozens of tons silently glides nearby is a moment of rare intensity, mixing respect, emotion and wonder. A privileged encounter with the largest animals on the planet, in the heart of one of the most beautiful marine sanctuaries in the world.
