What To Expect
Chinatown - Bangkok
Starting in the heart of Chinatown, our bike ride explores its frenetic market environment. Winding through narrow alleyways, our senses come alive with the sights, sounds, and smells of a community in motion. We’ll pass by shophouses selling everything from Buddhist amulets to recycled truck engines. Locals worshiping at hidden temples, ritual paper burnings, and the omnipresent spirit house display evidence of a culture centuries in the making.
The Chao Phraya River
Crossing the Chao Phraya River to Thailand's former capital, Thonburi. We cross either by cycling over the bridge, or take a local ferry.

5.00We had a perfect tour today with our family (children 10 and 15 years old). The tour was very interesting and relaxing. Cycling through China town, going by long tail boat to the orther (green) side of the River and cycling through the green outskirts of Bangkok was a very nice experience. We had a very good lunch! Thanks to our georgeous guides, lady Champagne and mister Nine, we had a lovely afternoon, which we will remember for a long time!

5.00Cycling with your eyes, your nose and your mouth. A wonderful experience. Nice, sweet, good English speaking guide called Earth. My 2nd ride at Co van Kessel and we enjoyed it. Highly recommended. Not exhausting at all. You stop at several places and get a lot of interesting information. If you want a unique experience, book a ride at Co van Kessel.

5.00⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My daughter and I enjoyed this amazing tour so much! Really one of the most fun things we did in Bangkok. Kate and Earth are fantastic guides: incredibly friendly, enthusiastic and they talk about their city with great passion. Thanks to them, we have seen so much of Bangkok, in places you normally don't go as a tourist. The combination of cycling and boating was perfect. We discovered beautiful parts of the city, had a delicious lunch and the whole day was organized to perfection. Also the people we met along the way were incredibly sweet and welcoming. An absolute must for anyone who wants to experience Bangkok in a unique way. Thank you Kate & Earth for this unforgettable day! 💛🚲🚤

5.00I absolutely loved the Co van Kessel Bangkok biking tour! It was such a unique way to experience the city while riding through hidden alleyways, local neighborhoods, and lively markets that you’d never find on your own. The guides were super knowledgeable and made everything feel safe, fun, and really immersive. It felt like I got to see the real Bangkok beyond the tourist spots, and the mix of biking, exploring, and learning about local culture made it one of the highlights of my trip.

5.00We had an evening tour with Earth today and we would not change one thing. Earth showed us very nice spots where we would never end up ourselves. It felt very personal and professional at the same time. We had fantastic food. Whereas biking does not seem convenient in Bangkok, we felt safe the whole time and Earth was clearly well-prepared to navigate us through the city. Best guide we ever had!

1.00No big deal. Your bike through extremely busy roads or paths where only swamp can be seen. The boat trip takes you along dirty canals with mountains of floating plastic. Guides are friendly, but don't really have anything to say. The food they offer in a local "restaurant" I would just pass up. There was hair in the rice and bugs. This is really in an unsanitary place. I can empathize a little, but this is it. Food was already ready with included amount of flies. Pace is so slow that they certainly get the necessary hours. If you want to see Bangkok you should book another trip because you don't see anything of Bangkok. Definitely not book!!!!!

5.00This was an excellent tour, great guide (Chai) and superbly organised. We loved going by long tail boat to the North East of the city and had a tasty meal in a family run restaurant. It was fine for over 60s to do.

5.00Highly recommended!! You really see the “real” Bangkok, you practically cycle through the backyards of the locals and get water / local delicacies along the way. We also crossed the flower market and cycled a bit along the river. We saw the monks say their morning prayers and cycle through Chinatown. I really didn't want to miss this, that's how you really get to know Thailand. Pecky the guide was really fantastic and even learned a word of Dutch. Really a hit.
