Take a break from the blood, gore and glory of Ancient Rome and indulge in some of the city’s finer treats with our Fountains, Squares and Gelato’s tour.
Our tour will take you from the glory days of the Roman Empire through to the sparkling inspiration of the Renaissance Period and back again, exploring how Rome’s many piazza’s - and the churches, fountains and statues that inhabit them - have played their part in cultivating the city’s rich and sprawling history.
Part way through we’ll pause at one of our favourite local spots to enjoy some of Italy’s finest artisan gelato. Produced with locally-sourced ingredients, this stuff is some of the most mouth-wateringly smooth, rich and creamy ice cream you’re ever likely to taste.
This route covers about 2 kilometres in total and is conducted at a leisurely pace that is suitable for all. The tour duration is around 2 hours.

Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II
The tallest of Rome's buildings, built to remember the first king of a united Italy.
Trevi Fountain
Undeniably one of Rome’s most romantic spots, the beautiful Fontana Di Trevi is the pinnacle of Baroque architecture. We'll spend around 30 minutes here, giving you time to throw coins, make wishes and visit our favourite gelato spot.

We had such fun tonight walking around Rome with Colin! It was a beautiful night to listen to the history of Rome and see the amazing buildings under the Christmas lights, walking by the roasted chestnut vendors and the stores all decorated for Christmas. Colin is so interesting, we learned so much as he showed us this incredible city. We had plenty of time to stop and take pictures along the route, and Colin answered all of our questions. He brought us to the best gelato place. Eggnog gelato is festive and delicious!

Toured with Colin in the evening after a fantastic day tour with Russel. Both of our guides were extremely informative, helpful, and friendly. We also very much appreciated the restaurant recommendations from both Colin and Russel. Thank you for a great experience!!!

These boys are wonderful! Before the tour started Russell sent us some great recommendations of great places to eat and drink. Then the next day we met Colin our guide who took us on a 2 hour walking tour with a small group around some of Rome’s main attractions but also some secret spots. The whole experience was wonderful! Colin was open to all our questions and we enjoyed it so much we decided to book the Vatican early morning tour the next day that was also amazing! Thanks Carpe Diem!
