Start the adenture towards Hawaii Volcanoes National Park driving through the historical Banyan Drive- a tree-lined street at the shoreline of Hilo, Hawaii. It is known as the "Hilo Walk of Fame" for the banyan trees planted by celebrities. These trees have withstood several tsunamis that have devastated the town on the Big Island of Hawaii. The trees, which still bear the names of the planters, honor movie stars, religious leaders, political leaders, famous authors, adventurers and local Hawaiians. Lili'uokalani Gardens
Blink and you may think you’re in Japan as you stroll through peaceful Liliʻuokalani Gardens, named after Hawaiʻi's last reigning monarch, Queen Liliʻuokalani. Located on Hilo's Banyan Drive, this authentic, 24.67-acre Japanese garden was dedicated in 1917 as a tribute to Hawaiʻi's first Japanese immigrants who worked in the island of Hawaiʻi's sugar cane fields. This beautifully landscaped park features arching bridges over fishponds, rock gardens, pagodas, Japanese stone lanterns and a teahouse. Views of Hilo Bay and Mokuola (Coconut Island) enhance this peaceful setting. With so much to see, this is a popular park for families to explore while they’re visiting the Hilo area.

5.00We had a wonderful day on our private tour of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park from our cruise ship, thanks to Katelynn! From start to finish, everything was smooth, well organized, and stress-free. Katelynn was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable. She answered all of our questions with patience and shared so much interesting information about the volcanoes, the island, and the local history. The scenery was absolutely incredible, and having a private tour allowed us to explore at a comfortable pace without feeling rushed. Katelynn made sure we saw all the highlights while also tailoring the experience to our interests. It was truly one of the best days of our cruise, and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hawaii by ship. Thank you, Katelynn, for such a memorable experience!

5.00Don our guide, was very down to earth, friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable. He showed us many of the fabulous tourist highlights (Rainbow Falls, Hawaiian Volcanos National Park, Banyan Drive, Hilo, etc.). Which we really enjoyed. However, what we enjoyed the most was how Don provided us with the local perspective on the history, culture, people, native animals and plants. He also took time to give us access to the local cuisine (I loved the poi), shopping and people. We really appreciate how he seeks to develop an authentic relationship with you. We highly recommend this great experience!
