After a 3-hour journey on the highway, our first stop in the Algarve is Vila Real de Santo Antonio. This city boasts a rich history, featuring some buildings dating back to the time of Marquês de Pombal, the prime minister who designed downtown Lisbon. It is also is renowned for its shops offering Portuguese towels

5.00Our van trip from the Algarve to Lisbon was easily one of the highlights of our time in Portugal and a huge part of that was thanks to Hugo. From the start, Hugo made the entire experience feel relaxed and personalized. He wasn’t just a driver getting us from point A to point B he truly elevated the journey. He happily made stops wherever we wanted, whether it was for a scenic overlook, a charming town, or the perfect photo opportunity. As a photographer, that flexibility meant everything, and I was able to capture some incredible images along the way. Hugo also went the extra mile in every sense—providing water, sharing insightful details about the towns and regions we passed through, and creating an atmosphere that felt more like traveling with a knowledgeable friend than a service. What really stood out, though, was his kindness and integrity. After I accidentally left behind my camera tripod in the van, Hugo went completely out of his way to make sure it was returned to me. That level of care and effort is rare, and it speaks volumes about the kind of person he is. If you’re considering a trip through Portugal, I can’t recommend Hugo enough. Professional, accommodating, and genuinely thoughtful he made an already beautiful journey unforgettable.

Benagil caves were incredible and our guide Hugo was very knowledgeable and flexible to find the right fit of additional sites to visit. We even took a short ride over the border into Spain. Highly recommend this tour to friends and family visiting Lisbon.

5.00Our guide Fatima was more than a tour guide..She made us feel like friends who came for a visit. She was very knowledgeable with history, and great with parking!! And she also took us to a fabulous restaurant that I sure would not have found on my own. What a great trip. I would highly recommend this trip.

5.00Algarve is so pretty! I visited different towns, saw the cliffs and the sea, and even had time to relax. The hotel was clean and comfortable. My guide made everything easy and fun. It was a nice break from the city life in Lisbon. I loved it!

5.00We were advised the day before that due to weather (windy and rough seas), that we would probably not be able to take the boat tour of the caves and given the option of cancelling. (We were really looking forward to the boat tour) We decided to continue with the tour and am glad that we did. Algarve area is beautiful and the food at the restaurants where we ate, were amazing! Our guide Fatima was fabulous. She was very friendly and full of knowledge. From the time that we were picked up, she explained what we would be doing, how long the drive was and apologized for the boat tour being cancelled, which was beyond her control. Since we weren't able to do the boat tour, we toured other places that we would not have been able to and spent more time at others. I would love to visit again and spend several days there I would definitely recommend this tour if you have limited time in Portugal and want to visit the south.
