What To Expect
La Torre d'Incina
As we approach the coast, you'll see the majestic Incina Tower towering over the cliff. It is one of the ancient watchtowers of the sixteenth century, framed by a sea that fades from turquoise to deep blue. We will tell you how the Tower served to protect our land, becoming a beacon of hope for local people. Get your phones and cameras ready! We will make a strategic stop right in front of the tower.
Its name derives from the particular shape of the rock that protrudes from the sea at the end of the cave, which impressively resembles a horse saddle. This training is an easy reference point to recognize even from a distance. But the real magic is inside. The Sella Cave is an "open-air" cave in some places, thanks to a large hole on the top of the vault. This opening acts as a natural skylight: at midday, when the sun is at its zenith, a vertical beam of light illuminates the center of the cave like a theatrical spotlight, making the water almost unreal transparency.

5.00The boat isn’t big but quick and manoeuvrable so we got to really see the caves, have a chance for a swim and a welcome glass of Prosecco. It’s the best way to see Polignano a Mare - the famous restaurant and the Red Bull cliff diving spot sitting in the sun on the boat. My daughter and I were joined by 5 other people so a good size. We were most impressed by how our captain steered through big waves coming back when the wind got up. The other thing that made it was the music the captain played - great DJ! With music appropriate to each different setting. Thank you also for some restaurant recommendations in the places we still had to visit on our trip.

5.00This is the best trip ever!! If you visit Monopoli, you have to book a boat trip with Enzo, you won’t regret it! He played Italian music, and gave us snacks and some drinks. There were other people on the boat, which is great. You can make friends. We visited the caves at Polignano, and we even jumped from the boat and swam! Worth every penny, for a boat trip with Enzo!! 😀
