Island Explorer Madeira 4x4 aims to make Madeira Island known by sharing cultural curiosities with fun. The objective is to offer a playful adventure, through tours through the most emblematic points of our island, also including off roading that only an all-terrain vehicle can provide.
The maximum capacity of the tour is 6 people. Travel time already included in the total duration.

What To Expect
The tour begins in Câmara de Lobos, a traditional fishing village that became known internationally through a painting by Sir Winston Churchill. The landscape of this city is marked by the presence of characteristic fishing boats, called “Xavelhas”.
Cabo Girao
We will go to the Cabo Girão viewpoint, with the famous glass suspended platform - “skywalk”, currently one of the most visited tourist attractions. Cabo Girão is the highest promontory in Europe at 580 meters high. The Cabo Girão viewpoint offers an unparalleled perspective over the cities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal.

5.00Fantastic day out with Christophe. He provided a perfectly tailored experience which surpassed our expectations. Some exhilarating off road 4x4. Waterfalls, pre historic landscapes above the clouds, spectacular views. Swimming in volcanic pools. Perfect Poncha! Couldn’t have asked for more

5.00What an incredible day! We loved everything about the tour. Christophe was a fantastic guide who shared so many interesting facts throughout the day. All of the stops were beautiful and we especially enjoyed the off-road part of the tour. We cannot recommend this enough!!

5.00Best day ever. Christopher our guide for the day was wonderful. He knew all of the special spots for us to view on this beautiful Island. Full day tour and it went fast. He moved through the streets and back roads with precision. We stood up in Landrover riding up the mountain ridge 5000 feet up. Truely once in life time experience!

5.00Terrific way to see more of Funchal and the different microclimates as you climb to higher altitudes. Despite a rainy and cloudy day, our driver Christophe still made it a very enjoyable experience. His knowledge, and humour, makes this a must-do trip.

5.00We toured the west and east of Madeira over 2 days with Christophe seeing the best of the island while having great fun along the way! Christophe communicates well, gives you plenty of information, brings you to places off the beaten track and adds his own humor to add to the adventure. 5.00We had a great and rich tour of western Madeira with Christophe, our dedicated and knowledgeable driver and guide. We also booked him for a separate tour on the east side where he arranged the trip completely according to our wishes! He gives the little extra that makes the tours memorable.
