Juma Mosque
Shamakhi’s greatest landmark is Juma Mosque, one of Azerbaijan’s largest and most lavish places of worship. While the current structure was reconstructed in 2013, the earliest version was built way back in 743AD, making this the second oldest mosque in the Caucasus and the oldest in Azerbaijan. Since then it has been destroyed and rebuilt several times, most notably during the devastating earthquake that reduced Shamakhi to rubble in 1859 and later by inter-ethnic clashes in 1918. Besides discovering its historical and religious significance, you can enjoy simply basking in the site’s elegance and tranquility.
Essenso Lavender Field
Seasonal! The final stop of the day is the enchanting Essenso Lavanda Farm (Lavender Field), where you’ll walk among fragrant lavender rows, take stunning photos, and relax in a peaceful countryside setting. Note: From May 30 to the end of June, the Lavender Farm replaces the usual Vandam Waterfall stop for the seasonal blooming. After a full day of exploration and beauty, relax on your return journey to Baku. Only in season

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Rozi Tour Guide! We visited Jummah Masjid, Yeddi Gozel Waterfall, and enjoyed the amazing cable car ride at Tufandag Mountain Resort. We also had a chance to do horse riding as well. Our guide was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about many cultures, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Everything was well organized and memorable. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing tour with Baku Heritage Tours, especially with our tour guides, Elshad and Rafiga. Elshad is a friendly tour guide who is very well-versed in English. He explains everything clearly and always reminds us about the schedule. He is very patient with all the guests and has a great sense of humor, making it easy to get along with him. Rafiga is a multilingual tour guide. Even though she sometimes explains things quickly, she makes sure that everyone understands what she is saying. She is also very friendly and always ensures that everyone is comfortable. Thank you to Baku, Azerbaijan, for an amazing travel experience. I will definitely visit again soon. Cheers!
