The tour continues to its main highlight: Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where large icebergs drift through a glacial lake toward the sea. Just across the road, visit Diamond Beach, where pieces of ice rest along the black shoreline, creating a striking natural contrast.
On the return drive, stop at Eystrahorn, a rugged mountain with expansive views of the surrounding coastline.

Vestrahorn
Vestrahorn, a dramatic mountain rising from the black sands of Stokksnes. Its sharp peaks and coastal setting make it a favorite among photographers.
Glacier Lagoon
Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where large icebergs break off from the glacier and float slowly across the lagoon. You’ll have time to walk along the shore, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this unique glacial landscape. Just across the road is Diamond Beach, where pieces of ice from the lagoon wash up on the black sand, creating a striking contrast that makes for excellent photo opportunities.

Disgusting toxic bus

1.00We were on the bus with license plate FN R23 to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon on Sept 15 2025. It was a disgusting, filthy bus that had been recently smoked in. The upholstery was old and stinky. The ash trays were dirty and full of debris. There was no wifi nor footrests. The inside of the window sills were caked in dirt. Of course the windows were filthy too. And, water dripped through the leaky windows onto us! We developed sore scratchy throats from being inside the polluted bus. Clean up your act, Tanni Travel!
