You’ll walk the grounds where Icelandic democracy began and visit sites where Viking-era justice was carried out including the Drowning Pool and the Gallows Rock. Long bus ride - but for people who have never been to Iceland before, and in beautiful weather this was an enjoyable part of the trip. The scenery and the waterfall were wonderful and the tour guide was excellent explaining. Wish we had more time to walk around the Thingfellir area.

Another stunning waterfall, an impressive geyser that went off with unpredictability but worth waiting for. Due to over booking, we were split into two buses. We lucked out and got the small bus, only 19 passengers. It was great. Our guide was Dori and he was very knowledgeable

Excellent guide, a former teacher. Tomasz was our driver and kept us safe. Their love of Iceland came through. Guide offered enrichment and her knowledge of her country, the landscaping, history, and also played music from her favorite Icelandic singers/musicians. She prepared us for each location we visited and offered safety tips. Guide asked all passengers for any questions and answered all of them during the return trip. Pick up and drop off at cruise pier was perfect! They also dropped off others to tour Reykjavik if they wanted. Gray Line was the tour operator. Only wished we could have visited the greenhouses and tomato farm we saw on the return trip. Excellent day!

Overall we enjoyed the tour but we were disappointed that we weren’t picked up at the Hotel Cabin at the pre-arranged time of 9:30 am, on June 18th. We were waiting at the Hotel Cabin by 9:15 am but no one showed up. I contacted the Viator support line around 9:50 and told them we had been waiting since 9:15AM. The operator said they needed to look into it and would get back to me. When they responded I was told that the problem was I had not confirmed a pick up address prior to the tour. That is incorrect. I purchased our tickets for this tour in late January and I confirmed that we were to be picked up at the Hotel Cabin on June 3rd. I still have the email and the Hotel Address is also confirmed as the Pick up Point on the tickets that I printed out June 3rd. We were still waiting after 10 am when your help line advised us that we were being re-scheduled for a later tour and would not be picked up until 12 pm. Although we enjoyed the tour very much, we were very disappointed that we lost over two hours that we had hoped to spend exploring the sights of Reykjavik before flying back to Canada early in the morning. We understand that mistakes happen but this was not a good experience for us.

Tour company does not provide hotel pickup as Viator told me on the phone and on my reservation The hotel receptionist noticed us waiting and told us we needed to go to a bus stop three blocks away. Once there, we found out we had missed the bus. We sadly missed the highlight of our trip to Reykjavik, Iceland.

Kefir was a great guide, Tomas an expert driver. Comfortable, connectivity all the way, great tour for the money. Icelandic joke: what do you do when you get lost in Iceland? A—Stand up!

Excellent trip although the cruise terminal pick up instructions needed to be updated. Reference was made to a white building which had been demolished 2 years ago. The coach pick up from the cruise terminal is in the main car park at the main entrance to the port

Be sure to wear rugged shoes and a waterproof coat. The hikes down and up to the sites are fairly easy. The sites are beautiful!
