Join Canyon Ministries for an unforgettable guided hike into the Grand Canyon, descending more than 1,000 feet along the spectacular South Kaibab Trail. This iconic route brings you face-to-face with the canyon’s stunning rock layers, fossils, and sweeping vistas while exploring its features through a biblical Creation perspective.
Led by expert guides, this inner-canyon hiking tour travels 1.5 miles down to Cedar Ridge and back, totaling 3 miles round-trip. The historic ridgeline trail offers some of the most panoramic views in the Grand Canyon and is a favorite for its breathtaking scenery and unique vantage points.
Along the way, discover fascinating insights into Grand Canyon geology and history. Perfect for adventure seekers and faith-focused travelers alike. Minimum of two participants required.
Please bring 64 oz (two Nalgene-sized bottles) of water.
Additional rim tours, river trips, and backpacking adventures are also available.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Minimum Age 12 Years. Tour does not include park entry. Current fees may be found on the Grand Canyon National Park website.
What To Expect
Grand Canyon Visitor Center South Rim
Meet your guide in the park at tour start time at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center flag pole for orientation and a short shuttle ride to the trailhead.
South Kaibab Trail
Hike down the famous South Kaibab Trail with your guide as you stop along the way to learn about the various features of Grand Canyon geology while learning about biblical creation and evidence for the global Flood recorded in the book of Genesis.

5.00We were a bit concerned about being able to do the hike physically, but Dana was so patient and let us go at our own pace. The information and education she provided while we were on the hike was absolutely incredible.

5.00Emilia was something special. She led us into the canyon and spent time describing the different theories/hypotheses concerning the geology and historical formation of the canyon. 5.00Emilia was our tour guide and proved to be spiritually insightful and led by the holy spirit. She was able to eloquently share God's story of the global flood in Noah's day based on scripture. My husband and I finished the tour in about 3.5 hours, but we could have hiked another couple of hours. Parking and our meeting spot by the flagpole were convenient and easy to find. The cost for the tour was pricey, but we were celebrating my birthday, so we splurged. Overall *****

5.00The entire tour brought the Bible to life. Seeing real life proof of the flood, clear reminders to test what you are taught in this world against Scripture. A convicting and inspiring day to see God in the world around us. My kids loved it too! It was relevant to their lives as they were able to apply what they had been learning in school, along with their biblical knowledge to a real wonder of the world!

5.00Loved being able to hike into Grand Canyon with a Christian guide that shares my passion for where God’s Word intersects with God’s creation! I appreciated how she was not only knowledgeable about Creationists’ scientific discoveries, but also at the same time she shared with humility and a heart of compassion for those who cannot yet see how it points to the Lord and the global Genesis flood. What a special day full of excellent teaching from a Biblical perspective, interesting facts and stories about the canyon, thoughtful connections to Scripture, and a fun pace on the trail to enjoy each highlighted sight. Grateful and hopeful to come back for more tours someday.
