Jason deCaires Taylor horse scupltures " The rising tides" (moved from London to Haugesund in 2019) and the statue of Harald Hårfagre are both short stops on the cycle tour. Here your guide will describe the history and stories behind the sculptures and statue.
Haraldshaugen
The National Monument is an ode to King Harald Fairhair – the Viking king that unified Norway into one kingdom 1150 years ago. It is believed that Harald Fairhair is buried in this area. Here you will have time to take in both the monument and Korsshaugen, the stone cross that dates back 1000 years.

Great experience. Knowledgeable guide and a really good way to see the city. Norwegian drivers seem to be more courteous than British !

We absolutely loved this tour. The e-bikes were easy to use and gave us the chance to see so much more of Haugesund than we would have otherwise. The route was a great mix of beautiful coastal views, local history and some really unique sights, especially The Rising Tides sculptures. Ellie made the experience. She was warm, engaging and genuinely enthusiastic about the area. She shared lots of interesting stories along the way and made everyone feel welcome and relaxed from the start. Nothing felt rushed, and her local knowledge really added to the experience. One of the highlights of our time in Haugesund. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic e bike tour with a knowledgeable guide. He kept the pace just right for our group and kept us all safe. We then did a "city tour" by boat around the cruise port and finished off with some cider tasting. The crew at Viking Adventure are so friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend using them on a visit to Haugesund.

Brilliant day out. Haven’t been on a bike for years, so it took a while to get used to the el bike, but everyone one was very helpful and patient and I soon became confident on the bike. Fully recommend the trip, it was a great way to see Haugesund, especially the Rising Tides.

Good reception and clear explanation. Unfortunately, the bikes were still on the loaders and we had to look for a while before we had a suitable bike. The guide knew a lot to tell, but the sights and effective cycling time were a bit disappointing. Expected more of it.

Easy to find the start, it’s about a 5-7min walk from the port. Alfons and his able assistant Monika were great guides. Alfons was a calm, relaxed and knowledgeable leader and I really enjoyed the experience. Bikes are stable and powerful and cater for even those not physically fit. Highly recommend

We enjoyed this trip although the weather was against us. E-bikes were nippy & well maintained. Our guide was a pleasant older gentleman who spoke good English.
