We had a bit of a dud sunrise because of the rain, but Glenn was the man. I didn't have high expectations for the breakfast either, but it ended up being great. It was a long morning, and if I did it again, I’d probably just drive up myself. That said, the trip was worth it thanks to Glenn. Between his Hawaiian stories, his friend’s search for Tisha Dragon, the 2018 missile alert, and the tales of the Forbidden Island—and his smooth radio voice, he kept everyone entertained the entire way.

Great experience seeing the sunrise on Haleakala. And very easy with pick up and drop off right at our condo location. Guide got us to summit early so that we had a perfect location on edge of crater to enjoy the spectacular sunrise. Breakfast at the Maui Plantation Farm was very good as well.

My daughter and I had an amazing time at the Haleakala National Park with Breakfast in May 2026! Billy, our guide promptly picked us up from our hotel at 2:05 am. Billy was kind, communicated everything clearly, & never rushed our group, which made the experience even more enjoyable & relaxing. Skyline provided heavy-duty jackets (available in multiple sizes) but would still recommend to LAYER LAYER LAYER … it’s FREEZING at the top of the volcano at 4am!!! The conditions were perfect—beautiful weather (NO rain), ‘cotton candy’ pink clouds, and once the sun broke the horizon, such incredible visibility. One of the highlights was an A Capela group that broke into a Hawaiian song/chant as the sun rose above the volcano …. & then shared a special blessing in honor of all Mom’s! The breakfast at the plantain was tasty & filling. I highly recommend booking the sunrise tour. Tip: don’t forget to bring your phone to capture some truly unforgettable photos and videos!

Our guide was amazing! We were the first group to arrive at the viewpoint which gave us access to the only slight sheltered area and also set up phones on the railing for a time lapse video. 11/10 would recommend.

Weather really matters. On a beautiful day, the sunrise is gorgeous and experience is really great. We arrived 1.5 hours ahead of the sunrise to see stars but I reckon it was really too early. We ended up going back to the vehicle to rest for a moment. The visitor information center was closed and our guide didn’t manage to get the stamped map from the ranger. And we didn’t get to the top of the crater because the vehicle doesn’t fit the road. The breakfast was good.

Realize weather is out of their control, so our experience wasn’t really their fault. Pluses were the condo pickup and Billy our guide. Negatives were the weather and price, which even if we had seen a sunrise I thought was a bit high. The breakfast was just okay, nothing memorable.

It was an early morning to be sure, well worth it though. The sunrise was spectacular, definitely a core memory for us. It was so, so cold! We couldn’t feel our toes or fingers! The breakfast after at the Plantation was great too! Our guide Marlon was super fun and knowledgeable!

Brian was AWESOME!! He left us time to rest and sleep both on the way to and way down while also giving us valuable insight and historical info after we saw the sun rise. I would echo everyone else and recommend dressing warm and even bringing a blanket. I wish I had doubled up on socks as well. I would also recommend bringing a water bottle so you can hydrate. I would recommend this tour because it makes the whole experience so easy on you to do. Do be prepared to stand outside in the cold for two hours total. We had enough layers so it wasn’t bad but we also didn’t know to expect that—we got there about 50 minutes before it started. Highly recommend and thankful we had Brian on our journey!

We had a wonderful time! Definitely dress warm—it was cold even with the jacket and layers we brought. Trevor was an amazing tour guide—highly recommend!
