Stop at the Nossa Senhora da Conceição viewpoint, with a panoramic view of the city of Horta and the east coast of Faial

Passage through the central area of the island, until we reach one of the most iconic places on the island, the large Faial caldera, 2,000 meters in diameter and with its highest point at 1,043 meters above sea level.

5.00Ask for a tour with Paulo. He went out of his way to communicate his love of Faial and to make sure we saw as much as possible during our tour. Much better than going on a shore excursion on a bus through your cruise line. From a value standpoint, we got a much better, more informative, and more pleasant tour for literally half the price of the ship-sponsored tour.

5.00Owner grew up in Horta, loves Horta, shares his love. Want to stop and take a picture of the cow you just passed? He will gladly back up. Good for recommending restaurants and other activities. Pleasant tour of the island from 9 o’clock to 13:30 (although it was scheduled to end at 13 he didn’t have any other tours on this cloudy March day.)

5.00Kevin, owner and tour guide, kindly accepted my booking although I was the only customer that day (low season). Initially I had booked the afternoon tour, yet upon his wise suggestion, we started earlier at 11:00 in order to get the best of the weather. The tour was perfect to see the highlights of Faial, timing was relaxed and I took his suggestion for a short hike from the top of Capelinhos volcano down to the lighthouse. Stunning landscape! Kevin shared a lot of knowledge about the island history, his flora and the link between the Azores and US/Canada.

5.00We did the half day tour of Faial as part of our package and our guide , Andre, was amazing. Very informative, gave us loads of time at every stop and even threw in an extra stop. The day was amazing and highly recommend.
Great way to see most of Faial for people that do not have their own transportation!

5.00This tour was perfect for a couple of girls that did not have transportation while in the Azores. We were staying in Pico and wanted to explore another island so we took the quick ferry to Faial and the tour guide even picked us up at the ferry terminal to begin the tour. We had Victor who was very nice and had good knowledge of the island. He flawlessly switched from Portuguese (for our other tour guests) to English for us. But the tour itself was great! It hit all the main sites of Faial that everyone needs to see when they visit here. Everything we saw was so unique, even with the weather changing every half hour. We highly recommend this tour!
