Visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park had been a lifelong of mine. Exploring the lava flows, steam vents, and lava tube in person was everything I had hoped for and more. Our guide, Mel, was absolutely amazing—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing the history, geology, and culture of the island. He made the experience even more memorable for our whole family. I loved every minute of this adventure and highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Big Island. Sharing this long-awaited experience with my family made it even more special.

Amazing and worth it in every way. The tour guide was very nice and considerate the entire tour and was able to drive us all the way from kona to the volcanoes. Given the price, its hard to believe how high quality and enjoyable this tour was, considering most other tours here are more expensive and do less activities than this one. If you’re in Big Island, especially Kona, absolutely try this tour out. They take you all over the island, including rainforests, volcanoes, lava tubes and the black sand beach. And at the end they drop you off at the same place they pick you up in, which was another testament to how considerate our tour guide was. Overall it was extremely worth it and enjoyable and a must do activity in Big Island.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Big Island. It was the highlight of our trip. Mel was our guide and driver for the day, and as a local, he shared an incredible amount of knowledge about the island, its volcanoes and the different types of lava flow. You could truly feel how much he loves his home through the stories he told. On the day of our tour, Mount Kilauea was erupting. Mel explained how unpredictable each eruption can be and kept us moving so we’d have the best chance to see it in action. We ended up arriving right at the end of the eruption, but thanks to Mel’s guidance, we were still able to witness it. After we left the volcano, Mel took us to an area where we could walk around an old lava field. It was an unforgettable day.
