Discover the patterns of life in suburban Tirana as you pass through the city on your way to the countryside. As you approach Lake Bovilla, see the lake's impressive dam. Admire the lake's shimmering teal and turquoise waters, nestled at the base of Gamti Mountain. Head up to the hiking track to begin your ascent of the mountain, soaking up the nature atmosphere.
After about 40 minutes of hiking, reach the balcony of the mountain and observe the expansive, rolling forest and hills stretching out before you. At your feet, gaze in wonder at the stunning views of Lake Bovilla. Breathe in the fresh mountain air on your cheeks in a setting of pure natural beauty. Trail details : Min Altitude : 460 m Max Altitude : 620 m Elevation: 160 m Distance up and down : 1.95 km ( 0,97 km one way) Pause to sip water and chat in the shadows of a mountain cave before descending the mountain along the same route. FREE TIME: During the tour, the guide will give you free time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Bovilla Lake. You can use this time to have your own snacks or drinks, or choose to enjoy lunch at the restaurant there.

5.00Our trip had an unexpected issue before it even started, as the bus broke down, causing a 45-minute delay. However, despite this inconvenience, our guide, Fjona, was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional throughout the day. She shared a wealth of information about all the places we visited, as well as the history and culture of Albania in general, making the experience both enjoyable and educational. The tour itself covered many beautiful locations, and we were able to enjoy some truly breathtaking landscapes. Thanks to Fjona's enthusiasm and knowledge, the delay quickly became a minor detail in what turned out to be a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

5.00If you're staying in Tirana, Bovila lake is the place to go. The tour was safe and well organised with an extraordinary view from the Gamti Mountain. The drive up was comfortable and the hike was simple even for beginners. Our tour guide Olsa was great and kept the group safe and secure throughout the experience. Overall I would highly recommend checking out the Bovila Lake and the Gamti Mountain and its a perfect activity to do with friends and family.

5.00This was a great tour with active hiking (1 hour) to the summit. The vistas and views at the top were spectacular! We were contacted the night before by the tour company with instructions of where to be picked up and at what time. They do not pick from hotels, but from designated pickup/dropoff locations close-by. For us it was a 5 min walk. The bus picked us up on time and proceeded to the other pickup spots. Once everyone was picked, we proceeded. We had a stip in about 30 mins for coffee and snacks and to use the restroom. We then went to the mountain. The drive was quite bumpy as we got closer, with dirt roads, but the driver was excellent and skillfully and patiently navigated the windy roads. We hiked up the mountain. Please wear closed shoes with good grip as there is lots of loose rubble and slippery stones and rocks on the hike. It was pretty hot so carry water, a cap for your head and money (restaurant where you stop for lunch does not take credit cards). There is also a restaurant close to the top of the mountain with food and snacks. After the hike to the summit, you will have free time for pictures and to explore the mountain and caves. Then we hike down and headed to a restaurant for food and if you want, a swim. Then we headed home. Our guide Olsa was wonderful, so sweet, kind and took excellent care of us. So was the driver.

5.00Bovilla Lake is simply breathtaking and the view from the balcony after the hike up Gamti mountain totally worth it. Our guide Olsa was extremely nice and took care of everybody during the hike. She also shared a decent amount of Albanian history and went above and beyond on sharing other recommendations for our stay in Tirana

5.00Had a wonderful trip. It was well-organised! Our tour guide, Vilson was really nice and had a really positive vibes. He was also very friendly and helpful in explaining the itinerary. Big kudos for Meti, the driver, he was really good mastering that crazy route up to the hills. I am also actually a tour guide so I have a pretty high standard for joining an open trip like this and I was a bit unsure, but I am glad that Vilson and Meti really did a great job in making this trip organised and enjoyable.

5.00We had an amazing experience with Smart tours and our tour guide Olsa. She told us the history of Albania during our journey, which we really enjoyed. The hike was really worth the view. The driver also helped us and drove to the top so we didn’t have to walk too much. Overall I would recommend Smart tours Albania.
